Day Five
Not feeling the best physically. Im still really tired. I got a good 8 hrs of sleep last night and still didnt wanna get up. But, I guess after all the abuse I did to my body Im doing pretty good. Mentally and spiritually I feel much better. I went to another meeting last night and recieved a very warm welcome. Some of those people I havent seen in months. Everyone keeps telling me how glad they are that Im back. That feels good. One guy said he was glad I was there and people had been worried about me. He told me that every once in a while someone would mention a "Mike sighting" LOL. I kinda thought that was funny even as sad as my being out there was. He said they would say... "I saw Mike today. Man, he's not looking good" Thank God I made it back. I dont wanna die. If I would have kept doing what I was doing it would have only been a matter of time.

Mike - Glad to hear your still hanging in there and I'm little bit envious that your sleeping well. At 3.5 days sober I too am very tired, but I'm going to push myself to get some yard work and mowing done today - about 2 acres.

When I fell off the wagon last week, after 6 days sober, I remember telling myself "if I have a drink I'll feel more energetic." However, we both know that that feeling doesn't last very long... beware!

Your tone and demeanor sounds so positive. Stay strong and sober!

Best Wishes

First couple days I slept 75% of the time. Im finding as I get a little more done each day I feel better and better. Im trying to get on a normal scedule as far as sleeping and eating. I have been eating a little better each day, til this morning that is. I just burned my breakfast while sitting here on the computer. Its wasted. Probably the skillet too. I guess its going to be good ol PB&J for breakfast now. Congrats on 3.5 days.

Hi Mike,

I was sitting here, resting after working outside in the heat, and began to wondered how your day went. I hoping all went well and you had a good day!

I got a all the grass mowed and the property is looking pretty good. Man... it's hot and humid here, but I did it and it felt really good to be somewhat productive. I was tempted to take the ATV out and go visit a friend about a mile away, but I was way too pooped and a tad shaky so I passed for now.

Anyways in about 3 hours I'll be on day 4. It can only keep getting better each new day - right! Stay strong Mike, we can do this.

Best Wishes

uh, no.

I drove past a guy painting someone's house,
he was painting the sunny side in the afternon.

Up here - the paint is dry as soon as you get it on your brush when you do that. It'll be a 'do over'.
made me think of you though.

LOL. Rookie's. Yeah, you dont paint in the sun. Not only will it lap up, it wont last either. Plus working in the shade is so much more pleasant. I know which side the sun sets and it gets painted in the morning.

Good to hear you had good day Mike! Having a dope dealer call would be a bummer, but look on the bright side... you are still clean after 6 days! Awesome

I'm halfway through day 4 and, like you, feeling much better and getting stronger each day. Wouldn't you agree this is a much better feeling than when in a drug/alcohol induced stupor?

Anyways, stay strong and have a good productive day!

T2S: reading that you have a dope dealer call your house scared me!!! It would be like if the liquor store called to say they'd be dropping off my favourite bottle in a few minutes! I'm proud of you for not succumbing!

No doubt that a call from a drug dealer would put a damper on your evening.
I hope you have a great day 6 from start to finish.
