Good Morning Overs

Scott, I understand. Sometimes I write as I speak and when I look at it later it doesn’t always sound right. But I think we understand each other most of the time.

PJ, hope you’re ok love. And I hope that dreaded migraine hasn’t come back. Love and hugs to you and Roxy. x

Bekind, hope your visit with your dad went well.

FBL, sorry to hear Fran is in hospital. Sending up love and best wishes for her.

Have a grand day my friends. xxxx

Good morning, Overs! Another weekend and it’s almost December. Where has 2022 gone?

Here it’s chilly (33 F) this morning, clear and sunny.

Have a super Saturday

Good morning all,

I am at my brother's house and his family is headed down from the mountains and will be here in a few hours.

I'm off to clean house a bit, look for another podcast and drink some water . . . . yep an ambitious day ahead. We will have a second thanksgiving dinner tonight and I need to buy an onion and a bottle of Bailey's.

Just me doing what comes my way.

I have a movie for you, Bekind. It is very sweet: it is called The Noel Diary, on Netflix.

Bekind, that sounds like an unusual and fascinating Thanksgiving dinner

Purps, I found acupuncture very relaxing and energizing when I used to have it.

and have a good Sunday to you, too, SG and to Suze, Mags and everyone

Fran is still in the hospital and it doesn't look good. Infection has spread and she's refusing to eat.

Have a Super Sunday, overs!

Ugh FBL, it sounds like Fran is ready to go which may well suck if you all aren't ready . . . sigh . . . . are we ever ready?

Dinner was lovely: good food, mix of generations, friends and family and great conversations.

I also cleaned house a bit and visited my Dad.

Venus, thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a try.

FBL, sorry to hear that. It sounds like she has made up her mind. Sad for everyone left behind

Bekind, so how were the onion and bottle of Bailey’s for dinner??

Hi Overs - I’m doing well. Had a great thanksgiving visit to my daughter at college. FBL, I just noticed your location is Milwaukee. We were there Friday and visited the Milwaukee Public Museum. It was wonderful. We ate dinner at the Calderone Club. Great food.

Sassy I'm laughing a bit at this. The onion was for my SIL's mom and was delivered as requested. The Bailey's is for a neighbor who wanted it to give as a gift.

I'm home again after a good Thanksgiving.

Mags, that's a good idea to just get two pairs of regular curtains and sew two of them together to make one extra wide pair. . I didn't have to worry about curtains here cause the apt came with blinds at both windows so no need for curtains.

Not making any special preparations for the Christmas season cause the only thing special I'll do is have dinner with ck and son in law.

Feeling a lot better today than yesterday. Not as much pain from my hip either.

FBL, I'm sorry Fran seems to have lost her will to live. A lot of spouses left behind just want to be with their beloved.

Good Morning Overs

FBL, hope Fran is comfortable and not in pain. She’s decided she doesn’t want to be here, it seems. You are all in my thoughts

Years ago I had elderly neighbours, husband and wife. They were a lovely couple.(I used to put light bulbs in for them and help with things they couldn’t manage). They eventually moved from being my neighbour to up the road in a smaller home where they were both happy.
Unfortunately the husband had a fall and went in hospital. Whilst he was there the wife died, just of old age (it seemed). Well when the husband heard this he didn’t want to live, pulled out the iv’s in his arms and refused food. He died a few weeks later. It was very sad to see them both go but I’m sure it’s what they wanted.

Been having a few ‘feeling down’ days lately. It will pass, I’m sure. Just riding out the storm.

Have a good day my friends xxxx

Sorry to hear about Fran’s decline, FBL…sounds like she wants to be with her sweetie

Did some decluttering yesterday and came across a Big Book & some other recovery reading material, so I dropped it off outside a local AA meeting place….didn’t stay for the meeting but I did come home and attend it online. It’s been a while since I’ve done that online or in person….it was kinda nice for a change.

Good morning, Overs!

Scott, good to hear you enjoyed your Thanksgiving.

Mags, sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit off. Moving can be a pain at any age but I think it’s one of those things that’s harder as we get older. You’ve got quite a lot on your plate right now with moving, your mil, etc. How goes the asthma?

Have a marvelous Monday
