Good Morning Overs

More congratulations Intro.

It’s a lovely sunny day so far but not long past 6am. Think it’s in for a few days though.

We’ve got a day at home today, just going to visit my friend in hospital this afternoon. So more packing boxes and clearing some of the attic.

have a good day my friends. xxxx

Mags I worked out I have less than 2 weeks of actual free days to pack!

I head home from Spain tomorrow so that'll give me Friday thru Tuesday then off to my mums for a week. These have been necessary trips though the timing could have been better. Plus I have a week before we move when I am marshalling the 10th hole of the 150th Open at St Andrews Did I say? I am so excited (and a little scared it's quite a responsibility and I'm bound to say something loud at the wrong moment and cause Tiger Woods to miss a putt!) there will be a few of us so I will take my lead from some who have experience of marshalling.

Toots, I know you will do the packing well and on time. Be nice to visit your mum. Oh gosh, you’re marshaling at St. Andrews. What a privilege.

Good Morning Overs

At Derby hospital today for hand therapy. We pass Matlock and for some reason I always want to visit there. Derbyshire is a lovely part of England.

It’s not good news on the house buying front. The owner cannot find her deeds anywhere. Her estate agent rang us yesterday saying there might be a way round it otherwise it’s 12 weeks before she can get new ones with not registering with Land Registry. We’re hesitant to lay any money out without deeds to the property. We’ll see what our solicitor says.

My hand is about how it was before the op, except the doc has checked inside it and done some minor repairs and adjustments. When I went for hand therapy last week my consultant had put in my notes and underlined “just the fingers”. The therapist checked one of my X-rays and said it should be ok to exercise the wrist. I’m sure they think they’re doing it for the best but they aren’t the consultant.

Have a good day my friends. xxxx

Congrats, Paul!

Mags, funny how so many folks like to second-guess the docs

Have a terrific Thursday, Overs

Hey all, I've been busy in the last few days with a younger set of kids, 2 and 5 (grand-nieces). Little kids are so fun and so tough all at the same time. I am super glad to have this time with them as I know it goes fast.

Paul kudos for your sobriety being headed into puberty - yeehaw.

Intro, so so good to hear from you. I remember things being tough for you when you hit the one year mark. It usually gets easier but we are all different so I fretted for you a bit.

Paul, is your recovery going to start getting 'tude now it's a teen?

Peej, I love that cartoon!

Mags I hope they work a way around the deeds. We still haven't had our offer accepted officially, so trying to gee our solicitor to chase theirs again! The sons are selling on behalf of the mother who is in a nursing home so no forward chain and our buyers have already sold, so any delay is pure frustration. I'm so glad I'm dealing with all this sober!
