so, it caused me to take a drink 51 mins before i was supposed to, and trust me I'm a guy, but stil, when when I found out, the raindrops fell..... still are actually... she and her used to have such a casual time together - playing billiards and stuff

Sorry for the loss of your friend Polaroid. I wish you good luck on the tapering down. I would still get some medical help and meds. Withdrawal just plain stinks and is dangerous as you know. I remember the times I did it without meds and it got worse every time.
I had a good sober Saturday. My friend and yoga teacher is back in the game. I’ve missed her so much. I went to her I rest yoga nidra session this morning. I’ve been very blessed lately in life lately.

Went to a concert last night. Had a great time.
Drunk people can be excellent fun. Perhaps not at, say, a football match. But get a bunch of disinhibited, predominantly female and mostly middle-aged folk together at a concert, and we are talking people-watching gold. I didn't dance myself – not quite ready for sober dancing yet, and may never be
-- but I sure had a good time watching others enjoy themselves.

That's terrible news about your friend Polaroid. I hope you can still get to your day 1 safely.
I'm starting day 9. I had bad cravings last night. Saturday night seems to be particularly troublesome. I did some laundry and listened to an article about coping with cravings. It's good to wake up sober.
I'm going to a friend's for dinner. She's hosting a couple I know a little. I'll bring my soda water and tea. My friend usually asks me to make the gin and tonics, but I don't want to do that any longer.

Spent Day 2 meal prepping for the week so I’ll have quick evening meals to prepare. My most difficult times are when I am hungry—especially after a long day at work. Have plenty of healthy snacks prepared as well.Trying to increase my daily water. Thank you for everything!
