I will survive. I see what's happening in Ukraine and remind myself that going a couple days on rice and water is just a minor inconvenience in comparison. People actually purposely go on fasting diets so I'm curious what they experience. I have a gift card for the coffee shop that has just enough for a large coffee each morning like I'm having now. Really the only thing I need is a morning coffee and I'm happy.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I understand. Well, hopefully something else will turn up this weekend that you weren't expecting to add to the coffee and rice.

Success! A plastic bag I left under the sink had two cans of pasta sauce and a big package of spaghetti! More than enough to get me to Monday!

Glad you found some eats WL.
Spaghetti and sauce is one of my favourite meals.

WL, reading this, I flash to a vision of a musical bit, the Gloria Gaynor song. Hope it hasn’t turned into an urban musical at your place.
More seriously, though, I hope the funds come through and you get the cupboards stocked shortly.
Some snack food as well.

Be well friends.

I will get my deposit tomorrow morning. Probably should stock up on frozen food and canned food to prevent a repeat of such a situation. I buy my food on a daily basis because I otherwise my fridge tends to fill up with expired food and stale bread. Can't tell you how many half eaten containers of potatoe salad and coleslaw I've had to throw out.

Glad you found something to eat WL and can go shopping tomorrow. A food pantry might be an option but the holiday could present rhe same issue

My vacation is over, back to work tomorrow. A nice break but out went to fast

Camping sounds great TC As I think you guys all know, I LOVE camping

WL I’m glad you found some food! I always have some tins of food as back up if I can’t get to the shops for any reason. Tinned food lasts for ages. Some doesn’t have expiry dates on, so maybe it lasts forever? 🤔

nmd I think breaks from work always go too fast. I had a few days off over the weekend, and it flew by! Now I’m hanging out for Friday afternoon again

enjoying my morning coffee. Thinking about what I want to do next since I finished the marathon. I went running yesterday and it was a fun short run. I think I'm going to just focus more on overall fitness though, distance running isn't my thing. I have some coding projects and house projects I want to finish too. Trying to find realistic goals and balance that is achievable, otherwise I just build up an endless to-do list

Hope you have a good camping trip TC

Good to see you Willow!

I have an endless to-do list nmd. Or more accurately I have multiple to-do lists. Short term lists and longer term lists.
I am slowly crossing things off and writing new lists. It helps me keep track of all the things that are going on.
I honestly don’t know how I would get anything done without my lists 😂

Hi all.

Camping was good, but exhausting.
Camper and truck worked flawlessly. All good when not windy or a tail wind. A bit slower with a headwind. Truck is just a regular half-ton. It’s no powerhouse.
Happy that all things worked on the inaugural run. I need to learn one more thing: how to light my water heater. Cold showers were a bit harsh.
Have some pics to share later.

G’night all.

I’m also a fan of the to-do list Otherwise i’d forget half the stuff.

Getting some heat here in the next few days. Will be 90F (32C) . Hope to take our ‘floaties’ out to the lake.

Sounds nice TC. The floaties, I mean.
I grew up on the water, but I have never been a floatie or board person....I do love boats though, every size and shape.

Took a lot of work to rescue this car, but worth it.

This is after cutting a good portion of building away.

Something that I can work on as long as I continue to make the right choice each day.
