Class of January 2022 Part 2
It’s 8pm Tuesday evening here Em
lol Suze, you’re acclimatised now hey. I bet once upon a time you thought 20C was cold too 🥶
Mr PL I agree, I need to stock up on healthy snacks and not buy any sugary stuff at the supermarket. If it’s not here, I can’t eat it….
G’night everyone

I come from the same background as you, my parents were Brits. So 20C was a hot summer day for them, especially my Scottish mum.
OK, I am exaggerating. But 20C is a singlet top for me.....and it is a jumper for you, and ugg boots.
Anyone else like that?
Long-story short, I got a new phone last week and I was using my old one as an alarm clock. But I forgot to charge it. And I woke up in the middle of the night to pitch dark....no digital time, no nite light. And it was discombobulating to the max. I need to be able to see what time it is.

VCat - I stopped wearing a watch decades ago and I rather like not knowing what time it is, but it can be a pain to wake up and get up thinking it's 6:30am and find it's only 4:30am. 5am seems not so bad, but anything earlier is too early to get up. I should get a clock by my bed, but I never have.
It does make a difference, but without my phone I m useless, all my responsibilities run from there.
OTOH, I stopped wearing a watch when I retired last year, but I do always have my phone on me or sometimes a clock on the wall if I want to check. Works for me
We used the same word Colin: too funny.
Until 5 years ago, I lived in Australia and it was light at 6am most of the year. Here, it is dark till 8am in the middle of winter. It's confusing for me.

Dee, I think you’re right, because it is so hot most of the time, we don’t get used to cold weather.
Suze I remember visiting my cousins in the UK when I was a kid, and thinking they were nuts at wanting to go swimming when it was only 26C, it was waaaay too cold I thought
It’s great to see everyone’s posts this morning
I’m just starting day 40, it’s 7.45am here now and I’m about to head off to work.
I hope you all have a good day /or night depending on where you are
I love that we’re spread all over the world but connected here

Hi everyone- checking in on day 80. I enjoyed the temp talk. Our temps here in Wisconsin range from -20F (-28C) to 95F (35C) during the year. You get used to it but as I get older I don’t like to cold as much. Weather is always a topic of conversation here. Glad to see all the activity here.
