I am glad the driving back and forth wasn't too horrible Bekind.

Sassy, I hope you can get some sleep. Even I get more than an hour a night.

SE, you do sound happier!

Have a good evening/night all!

Good Morning Overs

Toots, you’re right, she is comforted by them. She says she wants to keep them so they can be buried together when the time comes.

BeKind, I love that you loved your grandmother. I think there’s a special place in our hearts just for them. I’m not sure if we’re similar to Alaska (my geography is terrible) but in summer we can have daylight from 4 am up to 10pm. In winter daylight can be 7am (even 8am sometimes) until 3/4 pm.

Sassy, hope you got some quality sleep last night love

I stood on the edge of my slip on sandal yesterday and can’t put my heel down now without pain. Think I’ve bruised it inside. So I’ll be tiptoeing along today. I’m getting so clumsy nowadays.

Have a good FriYaY my friends, be safe. xxxx

Out Mags, I hope it gets better soon!

Bekind, there is quite a difference in daylight times between London where Andy (Treerat) is and Dundee where I am we get lots more daylight in summer, near the equinox we get maybe a couple hours of night, and during the winter, darkness lasts much longer. I really noticed it moving up here from the south coast of England 20+ years ago. I think I'm ruled by my circadian rhythm as in summer I barely sleep without my blackout curtains and eyemask but in winter I could happily hibernate, sleeping 9+ hours

Things are really humming for me these days. A fun book project, daily walks, basketball, disc golf, vintage baseball cards and (of course) continued steady weight loss. Everybody says I look so much younger. I think I'm starting to believe them, LOL!

Have a Fantastic Friday, overs!

Good morning all.

Toots and Mags thanks for your observations on seasonal light in the UK. Interesting stuff.

Today I'm hoping to get a bit of a walk in, visit some neighbors, tidy up and pay a plumbing bill.

PJ, thanks, they’re certainly something to consider

Thanks for the kind words, Foot is getting better, I think it’ll be ok in a few days.

Good morning, Overs!

I feel like I’m back in the land of the living today - yay! Last night I finally slept for 7 hours and I feel like a new woman this morning. I’ve been a chronic insomniac since I was 4. I think I’ve tried just about everything and it’s better than it was but sometimes I have a bad couple of nights.

PJ, that footwear made me laugh . I want some!

I’m off to get a cup of much-needed coffee

Have a lovely day

Good morning all, our planet is rotating me into Saturday coming in behind you all into the weekend.

I had a nice useful day yesterday which left me feeling a nice sense of accomplishment.

I still got very little exercise but a bit.

Today, I'm going to hack away at taxes, finish up gluing a picture frame and tidy up a bit.

I hope your weekends are off and going well!

Good Morning Overs

Sassy pleased you got some sleep I often wake up feeling like a new man...but no..Mr. Mags is still there

Cooking dinner and taking over to mil later. My cats are beside themselves with the smell of chicken. I’ve started early.

My foot a lot better this morning, I can stand on my heel now..still feels bruised but I’m not doing any high jumps or such.

Have a lovely Sunday my friends. Be safe xxxx

That was too funny Mags. Glad your foot is feeling better.

Congrats on getting some sleep finally Sassy.

Toots, I agree with you. I can sleep forever in winter, as though my body truly wants to hibernate. In summer, when the sun is up early and out late, I just can't fall asleep or stay asleep until darkness.

FBL, I am so happy that life is going well for you. You sound so much happier than when you were dealing with your eye issues a short while back. All the positive energy you put out into the universe is going back to you doubled.

Have a good Sunday all!

Mags lmao Glad your foot is feeling better!

FBL, I think what you’re experiencing is reverse aging . Seriously, though, you sound so good.

Have a good Sunday to all

Good morning from a gorgeous Rocky Mountain Day.

Mags I was a bit slow on the "New man" thing. I hope you told Mr. Mags about it just to keep him on his toes.

Today I'm trying for exercise and taxes. Woot woot!

Hi Overs -

Yay Saskia - thrilled you got sleep

FBL - yay! Hum along

Mags - ha ha

At the beach with family - highs, lows, frustrations, no sleep, question myself for why I bother to do nice things, thrilled for the 10 mins to just play at the beach, etc. rinse repeat.

Happy to come here to SR and read to reset even if I am so interrupted to not be able to post.

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Good Morning Overs

SE, sounds lovely on the beach. Life can be hectic sometimes it is good to recharge the batteries, so to speak.

Bekind, I was a bit ‘tongue in cheek’. Mr. Mags is used to my humour and fortunately I know his, seeing as I’m at the receiving end of most of it.

FBL, you’re looking good. We have a saying in UK ‘have you a portrait in the attic’. When someone looks youthful and well. (It’s on the lines of A Portrait Of Dorian Gray’.

Restrictions loosen today in England. Restaurants will be open indoors. I guess Gyms will be too. Hope it all goes well.

Have a good Monday my friends, be safe. xxxx
