Class of April 2021 Support Thread Part One
Congrats on day four, lovely Bethany 😍
I'm on day 2 now and having a coffee break half way through cleaning the house
I hope everyone is doing well today
Enjoy your snow, Erratic. There's none here (Dorset) and we haven't seen any all year!!
Well done on the run, FF. I've just started jogging again after a long break and have had some bad hip pain. Has anyone else had this?

Feeling pretty depressed today. Went for a run and meditated but that's it. Occasionally get out of bed for food, water or a cigarette.
I feel like this is how it's going to be for the rest of my life.
A drink would be nice but I've been taking Antabuse for six days so that's not an option. And of course it won't actually make me happy.
Guess I'll just lie here and look forward to my run on Wednesday. My early morning runs are the only times I'll leave the house.

Back from my run. Was dreading it this morning but glad I got out. Starting a diet today. Weighed myself yesterday and I'm on the verge of being overweight. Took a before pic and Christ I look fat. Going to start strength training tomorrow. Maybe I'll get back into yoga too.
I tried to quit smoking yesterday but bought a pack. It's harder to quit than alcohol that's for sure. Going to try again after this pack. I don't even really enjoy it that more and it's such a waste of money. Between smoking and pepsi I spend pretty much all the welfare I don't give to my dad on my addictions. I could be saving that money.

motivate you. I think there’s a few out there. I don’t think I can link it because it does offer a plus level subscription that costs money. I only use the free version.
Today’s motivation from there is: We’re either working on recovery, or we’re working on relapse. I think this one applies to me. I get complacent with just trying not to drink, without being proactive with adding positive action into my daily life. I’m trying to figure out ways to add something enjoyable to my life, rather than focusing on “losing” alcohol.
I hear u FF, ive been in bed majority of the day myself. Just got up now as hub is due to finish work shortly and guess it be shop time for dinner, which i wont be buying any drink, thats what i keep telling myself just now.
phoebe you have made alot of sense, i also do have an app but keep on resetting it though doh, as i keep going back to day 1. FF i gave up smoking when i gave up alcohol in 2008 and did a year, i found giving up smoking eaiser than the drink, so even though u find smoking harder i sore more of a reward in the smoking quicker than the drink and also the amount of money i saved, so that was an eye opener for me it actually payed also for holiday to florida for my family. however saying that, my ED and my obsession at the gym caused alot of harm to me at the time. So this time around im working on other new habits instead which ive ordered another journal which gives me prompts to write down what is asked and also i have 4 diffrent set of cards which i pick each morning to help me to motivate in learning something new, like mindfullness, journaling and gratitude type of things, i also have other things like a positive book also and other templates which i try to keep up with. they all in my toolbox, saying that, i think you are doing far better than i, as u are running and doing meditation, which both of them i have never been able to do. xx so please try not to be so hard on urself hun xx
well me writing that just passed another 5 minutes and made me think lol hope i didnt bore anyone xx

Just smoked my last cigarette. I really want to be done with this but I've tried to quit so many times. It really has a hold on me. Going to make a big plan and practice AVRT.
"I will never smoke or vape again and I will never change my mind".
So it's day 0. 6:25pm. Wish me luck!

Gave in and caped at eleven hours clean. Still, eleven hours is longer than I made before. And I didn't smoke.
I'm just going to keep vaping and stay off the cigarettes.
After a week of that, I'll try and quit vaping.
God but I hate vaping. It makes me cough every time.
It's day six off alcohol.
