Class of March Support Thread 2021 Part One
We didn't go. My partner drank the bottle of prosecco, offered me some, but I said no. At one point I thought "oh, I could go back to the liquor store and get more, and then start over tomorrow", but then I played the tape through and decided against it. Boy, am I happy about that this morning!
Playing the tape forward is really helpful. Just the thought of waking up with that awful heavy head and tricky tummy, the horrible dull fog of a hangover is enough to remind us why it’s a bad idea to have a drink. I just have to make myself remember to do it (play the tape forward) rather than act on an impulse without thinking.
Winding up day 5 alcohol-free, and I know I’ll be so grateful tomorrow morning that I don’t have a hangover

Hi welcome to all the newcomers to the group, lots of new people it's great.
I havnt posted here for a few days but so glad to be back I did have a slip up for 1 night but I'm determined that was such a mistake, felt so bad but I have to keep it moving.
Yes it's a fantastic feeling to wake up on a Saturday hangover free, it really is my favourite thing, a bright day here I'm getting out of this house for a walk with the family and joey our dog.we are new to the area but found a nearby walk around a small lake on the map within our 5km we can travel so definitely going .

Lixie, great job, that voice is such a liar!
Day four here! I canceled a hair appointment today to get away from wine temptation and going to meet a friend, who doesn't drink, for lunch. Very thankful for not caving in on Friday and having a good start to Sat planned.
Welcome to new folks and the few who posted they are returning! Both take a lot of courage.
thanks all!

Day 2. Nice to wake up sober (actually that is always nice, never woke up and wished i was hungover haha) I actually slept over 8 hours which has never happened before on day 1, but I have had quite a bit of sober time in between my slips, maybe that helps. Going to get out of the house and be productive today, since I did nothing productive yesterday!
Happy saturday Congrats to everyone on your sober days and to the people who cancelled plans/appointments in order to maintain sobriety!

Willow, getting through Day 5 is great.
Lixie, I'm glad you made the right choice last night.
BTG, enjoy your Saturday.
Becky, I'm glad you cancelled the hair appointment.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

Hello fellow Marchers. I rallied some motivation and cleaned out the fridge, which then meant cleaning the sink area. I’ve also got a huge pot of chili simmering, and made taco meat for the boy, who won’t eat chili. Smells good in here.
Im thinking about a garden. My daughter made a small area on the sunny side of the house, and tried growing a few things last year. She was late to trying, so, I should plan to get some things in at the right time this year. Need to research what can go in early.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone! Time for my San Pellegrino.
