Good morning Venus
Checking in at 2pm on another cloudy day. I woke up at 7:30 this morning after only 6h of sleep because of pain so I'm feeling very tired. Got some reading for school done but now all my energy is gone and there's still so much of the day left... not sure what to do with it!
Congratulations Willow, two weeks is amazing!

Normally I dont post in SR during the day but for a change I wanted to share something funny that happened to me this morning.
Towards the end of my run which is on a pathway next to a river I came across a family of ducks - 2 parents and 4 ducklings crossing the path:
Ducks: about 4lbs each, armed with one duck bill (each)
Me: 6ft, 180 lbs, armed with one half empty water bottle
The parent ducks rush at me with no fear whatsoever, fanning out to protect their brood. My reaction: scream 'shooooo'!, wave my water bottle at them and run for the hills (literally).
I think there is a lesson there somewhere

Good morning everyone. It's Friday! I have the feeling i'm just going to crush it today. Maybe it's the caffeine or energy from lifting this morning...whatever it is I'll take it. Hopefully I don't hit the wall at like 2 pm like I did yesterday.
My boys have a swim meet this weekend and I'm excited to see how they do.
In for 24.

The seed calendar sounds so interesting! Ancient herbs and veggies, eh? I'm going to have to do some research on that!
The AeroGrow gardens came out years ago but I believe they used lights that were expensive and frequently needed replacing. I wanted one so bad back then but it just sort of passed. They now have LED lights which last longer and will hopefully use less energy. I can't wait to hear about your ancient seeds, Kev.🪴

I might start posting about it in the plant lovers thread. But that won't happen before March, we're still in the middle of winter here. Yeah the energy aspect was one of my concerns about those in the past too, but LEDs use so crazy little energy, it's fascinating! I've changed all my light bulbs to LEDs and my electricity bills have gone down by a fair bit!
Still winter here too, but I'm craving some real herbs to use when I cook, and from what I've read, the AG performs no matter what season it is. Also, the light source shines around the AG and onto the cabinet I have the unit on so if I transplant, I can set the plants right next to the AG and they will get plenty of light.
I've changed most of my lights to LED, but I've done it gradually so I didn't really notice a significant drop in my electric use. I have 11 huge bulbs in my kitchen and my main reason for changing them was the heat produced by the traditional bulbs was killing me in the summer. No air conditioning (practically Amish!) so every little bit helps.💡
