Anthony Hopkins is a hero of mine....he is 40+ years sober and has a knighthood.
Maybe when I am a few more years sober I will be able to "expect nothing and accept everything".

Very tired....did not sleep much at all....ate something that I was allergic to by mistake yesterday. Sigh.

Good morning everyone. I'm in a really good mood this morning. Although my legs are a bit sore I feel great physically and mentally. Plus, today is 30 days alcohol free. I had one slip up a month ago and that was after a 16 day stretch. So really I'm 46/47 days alcohol free. I've had very few cravings, although alcohol is still a common thought that I have daily. Not that I want to drink it, just aware of it and aware of what I'm working on. Someday I hope that I have enough sobriety that it becomes a very small and insignificant part of my thinking. Either way, I'm excited to have my 30 day celebration with my family tonight. Maybe we'll go out to dinner or I'll grab an ice cream cake. My kids were involved this time around and we actually wrote these milestones on the calendar. I don't think they looked at it this morning so hoping it's a bit of a pleasant surprise.
