Morning all xx
daisy! sry to hear about Mr DB, i do hope its not covid x my work mate hub had a very bad flu about month or so ago and he was tested but came back negative so he was lucky, but i really do hope its just the flu hun, if he is back to square one it maybe best he gets checked out, i wouldnt hesitate even if the hospitals are bz this is what they are prepared for x i also understand if he wants to stay at home and good on him keeping it together i really hope he improves bit more today xx keep intouch when u can hun xxx

snitch good luck on going veggie and dairy free, your right if u can give up alcohol u can do this also, but also go at it slowley as i know its hard thing to do, i used to be vegan and vege for many years, hub is still part veggie when he wants to be. try soya or almond milk and there is loads now out there of alternative to dairy x you will find that almond and some other types can be dry to the mouth but you can get used to it xx so u go girl xxx

well hub is driving home he left very early as he took daughters partner to work for 5-30 am this morn so he is half way through is journey already. daughter had very bad night and drive down yesterday with the little ones, so she is going to be exhausted. hub said that her partner never got home from work until after 9-30 last night and had to get in early this morn to go to york! so daughter never got the rest she needed i think, but will find out more when she phones.

right im off for another cup of tea, again do hope all goes well with mr DB daisy xx will be thinking of you and him xx

Hi again and thank you for your kind words re Mr D, he's still poorly, we thought he was out of the woods yesterday as he felt a bit better for a little while but then last night he was ill again and then he started throwing up and the other, it seems to come over him in waves. I am keeping a close eye on him and if he starts having any breathing problems I shall call an ambulance.
Other than that, I carved some pumpkins with g.son and we decorated the porch, got to make some sort of an effort.

Suze, I could quite easily become vegetarian, I very often have meat free meals and enjoy them, give it a go and see how you get on.

Erratic, I bet your husbands tired after his long driving session, I hope he got home safely. I hope your daughter manages to catch up on a bit of sleep at some point. The joys of motherhood.

Love to all.

Keep safe. xx

Snitch. Go vegan. Dairy is not good for you. Sugar is also super nasty. One thing at a time. You all know I’ve had chronic illness like ME for 30 years. When I went to the clinic in California and did their Whole Food Plant Based, no Salt/Sugar/Oil diet, after a month the whole condition was nearly gone. Unfortunately, back in the world, I’m all screwed up again. That diet is tough to do outside of a controlled setting and where it’s all made for you.

The cold is hitting and I really feel it. My energy is way down. It happens every year and I’m surprised every year at how bad it is.

Lately it’s mainly stress finding a car in my budget that’s getting me. I ruminate and am anxious. Main concern is something that doesn’t hurt my now screwed up lower back. That’s making it harder.

ok laters

Hi guys

ugh just had a bit of a text chat with a friend of mine in AA who is quite a zealous member (lovely but zealous) over non alcoholic drinks. I went for lunch today and had a nojito. So it was like a mojito but no alcohol. I had one and I dont think of it as if I am drinking an alcoholic drink, it doesn't make me want alcohol, I dont even want a 2nd one. One was plenty. Refreshing and tasty. I was drinking water also. But she was going on and on and on .... the thing is today I dont have to prove myself. I know in my heart of hearts it's ok for me to drink things like that to me it is just juice. End of. Therr are so many nice things to drink sans alcohol I dont always want diet coke. It pees me off when people push their thoughts in me like that. If you don't want to drink them cos you think they are a trigger then that's fine. But leave me alone! Aghhhh rant over!

My friend and I went to a lovely fish restaurant today. We got lots of little starters to share. We had oysters, mussels, squid, sushi, scallops and prawns. The food was absolutely delicious.the restaurant is right on the seafront and it was so windy down there and the sea was crazy. I got on the bus after and came home and laid on tbe sofa in my pj's watching real detective on Netflix. Bliss.

Ahhh Erratic you were vegan? Interesting! What happened? You eat meat now? I really dont want to eat meat but although I like green tea I am finding it really tough not having my normal cuppa with milk! I love tea! I can go without cheese, butter and yogurt but tea is tough. Maybe I can source milk that isnt farmed? I will have to look into. I have so much bloody leather in my wardrobe though. I feel quite bad about it. But I wouldnt get rid of it. I dunno I was just really upset about what i saw.

Daisy we are going to our friends on sat to do some halloween type stuff. I saw such a cute idea on my guinea forum. Someone had used yellow pepper and carved like a pumpkin and then stuffed them with hay for their piggies. I am going to do the same. Will be fun with Seren too and also carve our own pumpkins. Did you see there has been a remake of The Witches? We are going to watch that on saturday!

Good to hear from you Vipe. You dont have to wait long till that sun is warming you up! Yes I hear ua about the food. I need a personal chef to cook for me!! That would be nice. Mind you, I am at gome all day sweet fa I should try to do some experimenting.

at least I am sober today ♥️♥️

Off to watch 1 more episode of real detective then bed.

night all xx

Morning all x as usual back to work this morn, so will have to be quick x
snitch yeah i was vegan i think 6 months and vege for many years, but went back to meat as i wasnt getting enough certain vits as then there wasnt much alternative like u have now. i was also did a diet of raw food only also, which that was part of my ED and was tough as it was excuse to just live on juice stuff. I hear u on the tea but as i said there is so many diffrent things now which u may not actually miss milk if u tried diffrent ones, also i used to drink goats milk that is less fat and also not farmed well it wasnt when i drank it. so not sure how its done now, i used to work on a city farm and worked on goats farm which we made milk and cheese from it.

good to see u again viper x not long as snitch said for u going to the warmth xx

hey daisy is there any news? thinking of you both x

I hear u snitch on the non alcoholic drinks, i am a member of a non alcoholic drink fb page and its refreshing to see now what is available that has no alcohol and is all about being alcohol free and enjoying the taste and experimenting x

sry i seem to be slow this morn, got to get that 2nd cup of tea xx oh yeah my new sofa and love chair arrived yesterday!!! finally!

hope u all have good day xx

Hi all, I made it here at last, I hope you are all well.
Mr D has been in hospital since Tuesday and is quite unwell. He has Covid and seriously this is something that none of you would want to have. He's been up and down, some days he seems to have been improving but then knocked back again. He's not in the Intensive Care Unit which is good, he's on respiratory unit, on oxygen. This morning he's had a C.T scan after having dye injected as he has an infection in one of his lungs, following that they have decided to change his antibiotic as the one he's been on doesn't seem to have had much effect, he's having a painful injection in his stomach daily, steroid injections, has lots of lines in and he's feeling pretty sorry for himself. They have had problems with keeping his temperature down, but that seems to be stable today. I have faith in our hospital, it's been very innovative in it's treatment for Covid, has been on t.v and is winning prizes.
Other than that, I am feeling very well and so is my g.son, we both have cabin fever but that's the least of our worries. No home schooling today with it being Saturday, so he's playing on his Xbox with his friends for a while and this evening I think I'll order a take out to be delivered as a treat for the 2 of us and then watch a film.

I'll hopefully check in again later.

Much love to all of you and whatever you do, keep safe.

Oh Daisy, I am so sorry to hear about Mr DB. I will say prayers for him. He is def in the right place but how scary for you all. This is the thing with covid, some people react differently to others and no one knows how they will be affected until they have it. I take it you are showing no signs and symptoms? I am just going to be doing my bit, keep wearing my mask, washing my hands and follow the govt rules. It's a tough time for everyone but if only everyone would do as we are being asked but unfortunately that will not be tbe case. I just cant see this ending until a vaccine is created. Thinking of you and your family darling. Did you get a takeaway and watch a movie? Sounds like a perfect night to me ♥️

We are ok. I have ringworm! It's a skin fungul infection. The chemist gave me some cream but I may have to get antibiotics. Guinea pigs are susceptible to it and it is very contagious but I have checked all 4 of my piggies and cant see any signs! I'm going to have to treat them anyway just in case.. They are so bloody adorable, I never thought I could love them so much. They are getting really tame now. It's so sweet.Seren actually got jealous of them for the first time the other day lol. She has been really clingy to me lately, wanting my attention 100% so I have been only doing 1 meeting a day and keeping off my phone and doing stuff with her . We have had a nice couple of days, we have made pancakes and carved pumpkins and watched movies and yeaterday we went to our friends for a little Halloween afternoon. Last night we ordered the remake of the Witches on sky but for some reason it was taking forever to download so we are going to watch it another day . We ended up watching Harry Potter. I havent seen any of the films only bits and pieces and I loved it. So we are going to watch all of them together! Today I am dropping her to her dads as I am going for a roast dinner with friends. Last meal out and a bit of socialising for a while now which is just as well as I am getting fatter and fatter!

Gonna try to sleep a bit more now.

I hope everyone else is keeping safe and well?!

Xxx

Good morning all on this very wet and windy Sunday. I can't believe we're in November. Mr D ( Peter) is on a respiratory ward now, they put him on there yesterday afternoon, so at least he has other people to talk to now rather than being on his own with too much time to dwell on things. He's still on oxygen and everything else but he's stable. G.son and myself are in isolation of course, we have isolated since last weekend when Peter first became unwell and our isolation period ends on 03 November, so only a couple more days to go. My brother has been doing shopping for me and leaving it on the front door step, so we've been okay.
The U.K is back on National lockdown from Thursday, I believe, for 1 month, so hard times all round.

Thanks for your prayers Suze, they're much appreciated. You're doing the right thing by following the Government rules and keeping safe. Covid is rife at the minute.
I'm sorry you have ringworm but hopefully the cream will soon shift and if not antibiotics will.
I love the Harry Potter books and films, we've watched them all several times over, I'm hoping to take G.son to Harry Potter World some time next year. Be something to look forward to, he's not too happy about this lockdown as it's his birthday on 11th of this month.

Morning Erratic, yes as above, myself and g.son have been in isolation since last weekend and have until Tuesday to go, we've both got cabin fever, but at least we are both well.

Thank you Dee, Mr D is in the best place, I have every faith in our hospital. I hope you are well.

Back later

Lots of love and keep safe. xxx

Evening everyone.

Well back to the usual routine as school tomorrow. We are just about to head to bed. I had a late night last night and am shattered.

How is your husband Daisy? And you and Owen are ok still? No symptoms?

How is everyone else?

I cant believe it is November either! I can't wait to be able to change my calendar so I don't have my part time week on it as it reminds me of work lol.

Other than that not much else to report. All is pretty calm and drama free in my world at the minute. My mum has a call with her oncologist on wed so hopefully he will be able to give her news on the cancer in her bone and I pray it is good 🙏 but she is doing ok at the moment so that's good. Obviously lockdown hasnt started yet in the UK so nothing feels any different at the moment , we'll see what it is like Thursday. I dont think we will really be affected apart from seeing my parents but I wasnt anyway so again no real change. I'm going to use my time to clean my walls ready to paint and to practice some veggie cooking recipes.

Anyway, thinking of you all

♥️🙏

Morning everyone

Daisy, how is Peter? He continues to be in my prayers 🙏

How are you doing Erratix? Are you managing to stay sober?

Hi Viper and Dee!

Seren had the day off yesterday as she has worms. Yuck! I got the medication yeaterday morning from the chemist which kills them off by shitting off their food supply....glucose. ugh ugh ugh! But she is abl to go to school today. Bless her. So yesterday we juat chilled at home and watched the new witches film. It was ok. I think I preferred the original.

Nothing else to report. Everyrhing is just ticking along and I am keeping out of my own way !

I wish you all a safe and serene Wednesday.

♥️♥️♥️

Good morning Aprils, I hope everyone is well.
I'm okay, . Owen and myself are now isolation and he is back in school ( thank goodness) as from yesterday. We are both well and have no symptoms, touch wood. Peter has developed pneumonia and has another underlying infection and is on 2 different antibiotics as well as steroids. He's lost a lot of weight apparently and has lost some muscle tone too, so will be having physio for that. Yesterday they trialled giving him an infusion of plasma from other Covid recoverer's and they are doing the same today. He is on a ward, still on oxygen but is responding to treatment. He's in the best place.

Morning Suze, I hope it's good news for your mum today, let us know, it's good sign that she's doing well. Yes. big lockdown starts tomorrow but I can't see that it will make much difference to us as schools are still open. None essential shops and pubs will be closed but that really won't affect me. Oh yuck, threadworms, one of the joys of parenting, not. I hope you treated yourself too, lol.

Morning Erratic, how are things with you?

Good afternoon Dee.

I'll have to try and post more often and get back into the routine,I need S.R, it keeps me on the straight and narrow.

Lots of love to all of you and most importantly, keep safe. xxxx

morning all x good to hear how mr DB is getting daisy, hope he is still ok and gets home soon xx sry just saw ur post above, having weird moment x

i asked for this for my bday which im going to try and steer me away from alcohol and get back into more healthy thinking and way to be, i had my first and maybe only phone call with my new pdoc, i felt really anxious when speaking to him and felt as i can be sensitive to tone of voice and how someone talks to me is he was kind of brisk so i ended up brisk back to him. in the end though we both relaxed a bit more and he is taking me off the 2nd anti d i was given for nighttime as he felt that it doesnt do anything and really shouldnt of been on it, so he is putting me back on an antipyschotic to help with my mood swings and other things, so will see how that goes. i was on an anti p when i gave up for that year, so im hoping this helps me more also. anyway will leave it there x

good to hear from u also snitch x how is the veggie going or have u not started yet?
good to see u also dee x

sry couldnt add a photo, its fount water drops and case of soda root x
here thinking of you all x take care
