Good morning Overs.
We have a dull morning, the weather forecast is for it to improve.

I finally went to grocery store yesterday - I ordered on line and picked up (no hands!). Life is getting back to a new normal.

Have a great day, Overs!

Morning Overs

Andy, it’s just started shining here, looks like a nice day.

Toots, my mum had a twin tub washer for a long while, after my nannan’s mangle (trapyourfingersifyourenotcareful!). I quite liked the twin tub, quite liked...no patch on the automatic washing machine. Can they better it? I don’t reckon so, unless it can press shirts.

Itchy, we missed you too I like the 10 feet visit you had with your friend.

PJ looking forward to seeing your art.

Have a good Wednesday my friends. Stay safe. xxxx

Thanks for passing by CK!

Stormy last night and more expected today as a "cold" front approaches.

Best wishes for a good day all!

Good morning Overs.
Mags, did you know a twin tub will fit in the back of a black cab. We had an unofficial department twin tub that was passed from student to student as they came and went.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning Overs

Andy, I didn’t know that a twin tub will fit in the back of a black cab (very amenable of the cabbie), but I do know a big flat screen tv with packaging does! (Cheaper than shop delivery too!)

I can’t seem to get out this rut I’m in. I’m not a lazy person by nature but my drive, get-up-and-go has disappeared. I may have to have a search for it, I’m sure it’s not far away.

It’s Thursday and it’s wet outside, doesn’t feel cold though.

Have a good day, my friends, be safe. xxxx

(((Mags))) I hate when that happens....I like to go on Youtube and find some relaxing music to play in the background, like spa / meditation / yoga type stuff....exercise helps me too, as well as guided meditation.....whatever you like to do to relax....have some "Mags" time

Mags, I seem to have mislaid my get-up-and-go somewhere. I keep thinking I need to go find it but can’t seem to find my get-up-and-go to do so

Have a good day, Overs!

Come to think of it....Isn't that an Aerosmith song: "Said my get-up-and-go must've got up and went"

Morning Overs

Thanks guys, it’ll come back or I’ll order a newer, more modern ‘get up and go’ a super duper one.

I need to get out walking more. I’m sure.

Its FriYaY the weekend looms, hope it’s a good day for you, my friends. xxxx

Good morning Overs.
Mags, I'm blaming this virus, unless you stay at home and do very little you have to don your PPE and work out if the restrictions will affect what you want to do.
Did anyone participate in those games/events/challenges to see how many people could fit in a telephone box or an original Mini?
Have a good day everyone.

Both hubby and I have suffered in and off with loss of 'get up and go' and I do feel it has something to do with the utter sameness of day after day. We now play golf 3 times a week and Occasionally have to force ourselves to do our other exercise on the other days. Going out to a local restaurant for fish and chips tonight - a special treat that doesn't often feature on our calorie counting menu! But it comes after a game of golf so we will have earned it. Last few days before we fly to Spain, looks like the flight will go ahead.

Yes, there is a definite sameness to the days. I was used to all kinds of activities here including lectures, musical events, symphony, etc etc. Now I spend my days quietly contemplating my navel. Boring view.

Toots, happy to hear chances for your flight look good.

Andy, no, I never joined one of those events but they were funny to watch :-)

Purps, ah yes, I remember now...

Mags, yes it is FriYaY today and also POETS Day.

Have a good one, Overs

I think it is natural for our energy levels to fluctuate over a period of time. I know there are times when I am high energy, and then there are times when I can barely do the basics that need done. The key is to not beat yourself up over it.

Andy, I do vaguely remember people stuffing into VW beetles back in the day. They used to be considered such a tiny car! No so much any more.

Best wishes all!

Hi everyone -

Yes Mags, I am have the occasional good couple of hours when I just feel queezy. It’s helped with my eating, which I think is taking the edge off. Glad you got out for a nice walk!

Toots - enjoy Spain! Yay! excited for you!

Sass - your navel comment cracked me up. I’m examining the shadows on the wall many days...

Itchy - so lovely that you got to reconnect.

No news here. Baby is 10 weeks today and next appt is on Monday to discuss genetic testing.

thankfully I have been off crutches for a few months now, but between the 9 months on crutches then crazy IT that kept me on an computer then straight into morning sickness, I am the in the worst physical shape of my whole life. I’m about at that point when you look in the mirror and are just so fed up with yourself that you join a gym (or quit drinking in a previous life). I won’t be doing that (or any other big changes) but, uh, I fear this may be an uncomfortable pregnancy all the way through, and I’m not looking forward to just feeling physically uncomfortable for another year.

Hoping that I can feel well enough to go for a walk this coming week. Baby steps in the right direction
