Hi Overs!
Mags,
Don't feel bad I've been air head forgetful my whole life. I'm jealous over your real fish and chips.

Wolf!
Long time no see. Did you watch Ozark yet? Joker? Awesome both! How's the missus and your strength training?

Sassy, aww sorry Sassy kitty has a poor prognosis. Some folks only adopt senior dogs because they are overlooked a lot. They like the shorter term obligation and a pet that is already house trained and settled.
Hey you brought sleep up. My first five years in the military I was a medic and did rotating shifts with two weeks of days, followed by two weeks of evenings, the two weeks of graveyard shift. It really messed with my circadian rhythms but after a year I could handle. Same with power naps. Military skills.

I guess no one checked out the Paul Harvey Clips. They were from the day of the Kennedy assassination. When I was 20 it was 27 years after the end of WWII. JFKs assassination's was 57 years ago! Tempus Fugit! (I pronounce the u as a short not long vowel, expresses my feelings exactly.

Another day sober! It's gonna be ten years next September! Who'd a thunk???

Love the Paul Harvey talk! Every single day for 3 years, I ran his News & Comment on my morning radio show. And of course, we also aired The Rest Of The Story. I developed quite a good impression of him too. Of course, our names are also very similar. And now you know....the rest of the story!

Have a Happy Hump-Day, overs!

The Joker upset me profoundly. (The movie).
Way too sad and twisty for me.

I just watched Inheritance (new movie) and really liked it.

And hi Wolfie!

Hey Overs!

FBL,
I figured you'd have a grip on Paul Harvey too. Were you even born in 1963 when JFK was shot??

Suze,
Sorry to hear Joker disturbed you. They wove in the Bruce Wayne origin before he was Batman. We'll watch Inheritance next. Thanks for the tip. We watched Maleficent last night on Disney+ Great Disney live action. And another one that we watched was "Good Boys" hilarious!

PJ,
Parasite is already on my Watchlist too.
Night all!

Sass, sorry to hear Sassykitty has pancreatitis, I hope she isn't in too much pain with it. As least she has you to soothe her throughout. I'm sorry you won't get to share more time with her.

Nef, congrats mate, and thanks for the rose.

hi Wolfie

Hey Michael!
Guess we won't be doing coffee in Louisiana like we discussed, as we made the move to Colorado.
Michael, I hit ten this year too. When for you?

Hi Wolfie! Always nice to "see" you here!

Congrats, Nef! Nice of you to join the Decade Club (we'll keep a seat open for you too, Itch). God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll make it to 11 years next month.

Itch, I wasn't born until 1966 (I always say I was born too late, LOL!). However, I'm a student of American History and have a particular interest in the JFK assassination. I remember visiting Dallas on a family trip many years ago and my Dad made sure we stopped at Dealey Plaza to check out all of the sites. In later years, I became friends with Gary Mack. He was a radio guy, who later became a JFK assassination researcher. He was heavily featured in the TV documentary series The Men Who Killed Kennedy (well worth checking out). He eventually became the curator of the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas and took a lot of criticism from other assassination researchers for "selling out" (although I never felt that way). He died a few years ago, but I'll never forget the contributions he made over the years.

Have a Thunderous Thursday, overs!

Hiya Wolfie!

Sassy, so sorry to hear about your kitty. Hugs.

Congrats Nef on ten years.

Back in the day, radio was such an important part of our lives. Every station had big radio personalities that became almost family to me. I got my daily news from the radio, as well as developing my musical tastes from countless hours of listening to 1970's early FM. Back in the day, a DJ could just play an album side if they chose to do so. I honestly can't listen to commercial radio any longer. It's five minutes of music, five minutes of commercials. I stream nearly all my music at home and in the car. My large collection of CDs is just gathering dust.

Best wishes for a good day all!

Yes, Mags! It gets harder to distinguish one day from another. I used to be able to tell from our activities (much fewer on weekends) but with our current lockdown, every day feels the same.

thanks for all of your empathy with Sassykitty. I have grown very attached to her. Since it apparently so far seems to be mild, I hope we can keep her comfortable longer. The shelter from which I adopted her asks adopters to sign a statement that if we can’t care for a kitty any longer, that we bring them back to the shelter where they can provide hospice care. I have mixed feelings about that.

When I was growing up just outside of NYC in the fifties and early sixties I used to listen to the NY stations a lot. Cousin Brucie .... etc.

Have a fabulous Friday, Overs!
