One Year & Over Part 74
No snow, but some frost on the ground (and my car) here this morning. That's okay with me, as I'm not a fan of the heat we get in the summer.
Looking forward to my Saturday morning online recovery meeting.
Have a Wonderful Weekend, overs!

Morning OversÂ
Toots, you were right about the weather, it’s been tipping down all night!Â
There’s a hint that the lockdown will steadily start to be lifted from Monday. That was enough to send thousands of people on the beaches and parks. Â I think the 20 year old me would’ve only heard ‘lockdown and lifted’ and dashed outside but the 61 year old me thinks ‘whoops, we could slither down the snake to the start again’.Â
Have a good Sunday and take care, my friends. xxxx

Dee,I figured you were settled in after your last move.
FBL,
Good to see you honoring the icons we've lost again in your avatar. Little Richard was just before my time for his mid 50s to early 60's hits. Most folks don't know he let the Beatles open for his show several times, and saved a failing Rolling Stones tour. He taught Paul McCartney his "Little Richard" singing style which we heard on "Twist And Shout" etc. Little Richard had a strong on stage presence but had a guitarist who tried to compete with him early on for stage presence, so he decided to kick Jimi Hendrix out of his band, who went to The Isley Bros band before getting together "The Jimi Hendrix Experience." I wasn't a big Little Richard fan at the time he was at his peak, but as time wore on he was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. His becoming ordained and quitting rock several times to go back to the church the back to rock were strange to watch. But we've all had a taste of the addiction demons he struggled with most of his life. He was larger than life, antithesis of pious and humble. He did reconcile both sides of his nature mid life so he died sane and comfortable in his skin, which is all any of us can ask, no?
Mags,Despite being a medic and then a Med Lab technologist doing a lot of sticks and even drawing for blood drives, I could never stick myself. If I had to daily or weekly I could fine. But not just for a once every few years CBC and/or differential. You Rock! I think you're right about a second wave of Covid19. It's also mutating. Could be for the better or much worse. We are staying in until next year.
Hey Sassy, GHD Star Andy Toots and PJ, we had 70s all week but today it started cool but got colder as the day wore on. It's very windy, no rain or snow yet. 37° now and 25% humidity, so we'll see tomorrow.
We cleaned up and oiled our antique German Deacon's bench today and it looks better than it had in years. Finished setting up my SH's office today too.
Nite all, good morning to the other side of the pond. Good evening to those down under.

Welcome, Reid! From your comment I gather you are at your 1-year soberversary? Congrats!
Itchy, you sound so much more grounded since you started settling in to your new digs in Colorado. I’m happy you got to move to a nice place where you want to be.
Mags, my state is starting to slowly lift restrictions but the OFH is not (which I am happy about). I think it will be a long time before we are “back to normal”.
Have a lovely day to all!

Yes he was FBL!
Sassy,Thanks, and I agree. I think it's a mistake to come out just to make money at the expense of your life, or the life of others.
Reid,
Welcome! I remember being amazed that I made it for a week. Then a year was huge! Congrats!
PJ,Winter is lingering here!
Hey Suze, Purps!
We finished repairing the antique Deacon's bench today. We thought we were done but found a lot of loose trim we needed to screw, glue, and clamp. All done but it needs to setup overnight in the clamps. Be safe AND sober.
