JimmyJ - sorry about the very late response. I have not checked our thred in a while.
yes, I am still running. I ran 5 miles today. I have cut back on long runs. They seem to be rough on my knees after a while.
A couple of months ago I did 14.5 mile run thinking I may be able to ramp up to a full marathon. However, I decided that's probably a little to much to ask out of my body.
The half marathon I was supposed to run last May, but was canceled due to Covid, has been rescheduled for October 2021. I will run in it, and will start ramping up my miles in the summer.
How is everyone else?

Glad to hear everyone is staying sober.
Kaily,
I also don't have the best diet but it's better than it was. I went from drinking about 3 regular cokes a day to about 2 a week. I have substituted them with spindrift flavored water. I also don't eat much fast food anymore. I still eat to many sweets though.

Heading out for vacation this week. Will be doing lots of outdoor activities with folks who will no doubt be drinking. Haven't posted on here much, so thought I'd share the upcoming struggle LOL.
Anyways I have a good sober buddy to check in with daily. Looking forward to time away from work and turning my phone off!!

Have a great vacation Jimmy.
I'm sure there will be some challenges along the way but it will be you that is bright eyed every morning when others are hungover.
There might be less drinking than you expect, we as alcoholics always think others drink as we did. Lucky for them they usually don't!
Enjoy.

I'm back, great vacation! Much needed. Yes, you're correct Kaily in that waking up the last morning bright eyed while a few buddies were really hungover was something I haven't really experienced, as I don't usually hang out with those that drink heavy. I was thankful for where I am today.
For them it was the annual rare hard night of drinking, but for me I remember it being like that everyday. We all had a great time though.
I think the best part is no one ever asks me anymore about drinking, it's just become the norm that I don't...and it's totally cool. That was my biggest fear when I wanted to quit.
