Nothing wrong with that Bobbie! I was thinking of visiting the animal shelter on the 4th after being inspired by that online post.....turns out my mom will be out of town and scaredy cat will need some company, so I'll most likely be hanging out over there.

OMG I finally got to watch Duff's rockumentary thanks to Netflix! I loved it....it follows his book and is accompanied by music + interviews with Slash, Nikki Sixx, family and friends....SO good....I'll totally watch it again!

morning here in Adelaide, just had my precoffee, now for coffee

MAKING myself do stuff despite stupid weather and stupid fried bod and everything that is stupid

It seems B, that using 'holiday' days to get hammered is a world wide skill.

did gardening- some pots with soil in them from the plants I saved from the rubbish grew from bulbs. Sad- I heard the guy who owned them, who went to hospital and got better for a while is back in hospital after a young guy he befriended, demanded money off him then assaulted him.

Spent the arvo supporting a friend who went thru the rehab program with me, but she is back on the turps, although surviving for the mo. Just went with her while she payed bills and stuff- which she was happy to get out of her isolation to do with company. A blessing to help others now I am no longer in that endless tunnel of drinking.

Good morning.

Kind of dragging today. Coffee is the theme for today, so I am going with it!

Glad you are there for your friend, PHX.

Have a great day, everyone!

Big walk with another struggling friend, who seriously researches how to suicide. I do not try and 'save' her, she is way too smart not to be aware- but a friend who listens, walks, coffee- I can do. she has excellent professional support.

Glad you're there for your friend, PHX. That's scary stuff. Going through some of that with my youngest daughter right now. It hurts to watch those you care about hurt also.

Purps - I read yesterday was 18 years of sobriety for Nikki Sixx. Pretty cool I think.

Have a great day, guys!

Happy Fourth to those celebrating! I'll be heading over to Mom's later...she's going out of town to visit family for a week, so I'll be hanging out with buddy boy....scaredy cat does NOT like loud noises, so July 4 is one of his least favorite days. I'll check back in later

Cool, I got my laptop hooked up ~ sometimes the WiFi here can be temperamental, but so far so good.....got some calming music on Youtube before the noise begins outdoors; he seems comfortable enough since he keeps attacking my feet! Business as usual

OH ~ and direct deposit arrived a day early because of the holiday....which won't win me over with the company, but I ordered my Godsmack ticket!

Is it noisy where anyone else lives at the moment?

Holy crap it sounds like a damn war zone out there with all these fireworks! Maybe I just don't remember 'cause I was always drunk or passed out by this point....Sheesh!

Hang in there Purp!

Greetings from the upper left corner of the United States. On vacation in a little town in Puget Sound. I can see Canada from here. Guess what? It’s raining. Ha! Not a surprise.

Happy 4th of July friends. Hope the bbq and fireworks are really fun.

LOL Dee....it's finally quiet....Gee I'm glad that's over!

Yesterday I found another awesome documentary on Netflix, about Slash, called "Raised On The Sunset Strip" ~ it covers a lot more of his background and music career and not about his addictions....but Joe Perry is one of the guest interviews. He told a story of how he had to sell one of his Les Paul guitars when he was struggling financially. Years later he started searching for the guitar to buy it back....Joey Kramer from Aerosmith told him "I know where that guitar is" and showed him a magazine article with a picture of Slash and his guitar collection....There it was front and center.....he called him up and wanted to buy it from him.... Slash never said "No" but for some reason he avoided answering him & didn't want to talk about it....fast forward to Joe Perry's 50th birthday.....he said his manager walked in with the guitar and said "Slash wants you to have this"

Purps was like
