24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 446
Ok, it’s Monday. I woke up groggy but very sober. The weekend was a blur of activity, but I got one social thing in. I will get a couple more in this week. And chat with the cool kids here. I’ll take 24 with love and new friends.

I don't have a sponsor no. My local group is only small. The meeting yesterday was in the city and a lot bigger. I did share and felt better. They gave me a couple of numbers and told me to especially contact one as her story was very similar.
I messaged her and we are going to speak in the week. She is doing a main share in a couple of weeks so need to try and make the meeting if I'm not working
I can't realistically go to this meeting regularly as it's too far away
I will try and go to a big book meeting, but someone told me it's not for new people only ones who have got a lot of sobriety

I like closed meetings, for people in recovery only...it makes it all feel private and safe for me. I also like women's meetings: they tend to be small and very REAL, and very supportive.
Speaker meetings in my early days were ALWAYS wonderful....listening to someone tell their story from the bottom of their soul is just so powerful for me.
Also topic meetings, where it's just about "serenity" or "handing it over" or something like that, and then people get to share for a few minutes if they want to.
And Big Book meetings....wow.....I love them. I don't think it matters where you are in the journey....it's the magic of the book....and usually they are a reading and then a discussion on that reading. It doesn't even matter which part of the book the group is up to...they are just always lovely, thought-provoking meetings with people who are really serious about their recovery. And I really love that.
Sending more love dear Pinky. ♥
