A Different Path Part 16
I love the instrumentation in this version - I don't think Kathy would mind it's a cartoon at all.
It 'broke the dam' for me.
As for a memory thread, bit numb at the moment.
I have no objections to anyone starting one, or keeping this one going, or another option.
Whatever the consensus is.

I am happy for Kathy that she has now found perfect peace. The tears still fell but it was for my loss of my friend, for her family and for all who loved her. There is no doubt in my mind that the God Rays I saw this morning and posted about, was our Kathy passing into Heaven where she will finally meet Jesus and all those who have been waiting for her. Thank you for the light, my friend. It will shine here for a long time to come.
This poem has always brought me comfort when a loved one passes. I hope it will bring some comfort here today.
Rest in peace, dear Kathy.

My thoughts, for right now, are to let this thread continue while we grieve and remember our friend.
Perhaps a Memory thread would be nice too, at some point, to remember all those who we loved here at SR who have passed.
Just my thoughts about timing. Love you all for walking together here as we walked Kathy home.

If ever there was a testament as to the love for our friend . . . it is this thread . . . this thread and it's associated chapters can stand in memory . . .
I am lost for words at the moment . . . but I'd like to say something in the coming days . . .
Dee . . . that video was beautiful . . . the tears are flowing this side of the Atlantic . . .

Kathy posted this a while back. In coming days I will donate in Kathy's memory, I think I like the Prison Ministries.
Awhile ago several people were wondering where they might donate a tax-deductible gift in my memory in lieu of flowers.
One possibility is The Voice of the Martyrs (https://www.persecution.com), which offers assistance and protection to Christians who are being oppressed and persecuted elsewhere in the world.
Another possibility: Metanoia Prison Ministries. You can either donate online at https://www.egsnetwork.com/gift2/?gi...50C89255E7C46F or by mail at
Mission to North America
PO Box 890233
Charlotte NC 28289-0233
Designate: Metanoia Prison Ministries

Thanks Badge, George was a special voice. I Liked yours among others too. I am not a country fan, so would have missed that great grief song, " "Knowing What I Know about Heaven," Thanks.
Dee I had to go read the lyrics as "Friends Never Say Goodbye" played, wonderful - Thanks my old friend.
The last stanza of mine I posted earlier:
"For those who suffer, losses deep, I have one thing to say,
Would you have them, have to do, what you went through today?
Or would you rather spare them, all the pain you had to take,
Be the one to be the rock, that helped them on their way?
I’ve lost some too, who've loved me, as I loved each one of them,
Rather than remorse, and mortal pain on requiem,
I shall smile, and think on all, good times and not condemn,
Them for leaving me in grieving,
With no rose, and just the stem.
Celebrate the time you had, cherish each moment you had to spend."

This is heartbreaking; Kathy has been a shining light and inspiration from the beginning of her journey on this different path. My thoughts are with her and her family, friends and everyone she touched here. I will miss her 'voice' here and seeing her cute avatar.

RIP dear Kathy.
Your love and wisdom changed lives.
You were taken too soon because I'm sure behind you're sparkling eyes there was so much more unseen wisdom.
She was so proud of her family and friends. A girl that knew the true meaning of living life in a community.
Have yourself a good cigar in paradise

I never met Kathy in person. Nor have I spoken to her on the phone.
But after I read Dee's post, tears were rolling down my cheeks. I felt her presence and goodness and enjoyed all that she had to say.
