A Different Path Part 16
Good morning, all! I hope you are all processing your grief. One of the most beautiful things about recovery, is that we get to feel ALL of our emotions. For me, a good cry always helps. In Kathy's case, most of them were tears of joy, knowing that she has gone to greater glory.
I wish you all peace and happiness today and always.

My heart is happy for Kathy now, filled with the light she shared. No more tears for me, she wanted to be remembered with smiles and so I shall.
For Kathy...More than goodby...Until we meet again.

Got nothing beautiful or insightful to say...
Just grateful that her pain is gone and she gets to be with the god she so dearly loves.
Grateful that her family shared her with us, and hopeful that their pain lessens when they are able to say goodbye, hopeful that they can feel her joy.
Grateful for her fun spirit, her kindness, her faith and her fearlessness.
She was a dang good recovery buddy!

I guess you all have read this but maybe not lately? https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...ml#post6186303 (My Story--Gilmer--Redemption)
I'm gonna confirm 16th Nov 2013 . . . I know because that was my date also . . . we celebrated with cake last November . . . and I'm only coming to terms with the reality of what that means for our next anniversary . . . Gilmer isn't going to show up (in person) . . . and it breaks my heart.
I shared a post in our class the other day . . . I really needed to post in our class, a thread that was started all those years ago . . . but we returned to year after year, up until our 5 years . . . that was special . . .

Thanks for links to the old threads. I enjoy reading them.
It makes me feel as if she is still with us. It has been so nice to read everyone's stories and particular memories. It is hard to fathom we wont see her here anymore. Sending love to all.
