I haven't seen this thread in awhile. cool.

I had an IOP reunion of sorts this weekend and found out I'm the only one that hasn't relapsed in my group since I first went in the hospital back in Mar of 2016.

There were 2 others that had a week or 2 on me when i got there, but I'm the last one out of my group.

Those are scary crappy odds. I'm so glad that I don't have to live like that anymore.

Good mornin' Marchers. Happy Monday morning to ya'. Hope your weekend went well.

The weather is a little clabberdy in my corner of the world. I don't care though. Got startin' fluid and still in PJ's. Just sippin' and chillin'.

Clabberdy? Fermented, unpasteurized milk? You do have weird weather, BBG.
Mind you- Australia is 'girt' by sea.

....." of beauty rich and rare....."

Now it is stuck in my head PJ.
And I feel like I have to stand up.
And if I sing the whole thing I will cry.
(It would be a miracle though, because unlike you I only know some of the words)

Ha ha...

(Advance Australia Fair) huge Aussie song.....

More coffee.

Good morning, people. We had no internet yesterday at my office so my day was kind of caddywompus. (how's that for a word?)

Weekend went fast. Wedding and bridal shower in one day. Spent the day with my daughters. We left the wedding early and watched movies on the couch. It was pretty perfect.

Hey Bulldog. It's been a while. Good to see you still doing well. Crappy odds for real. "may the odds be ever in your favor" doesn't seem to have been intended for us alcoholics.

Lillian - scary stuff about your husband. He seems determined though. Good luck to him. Hope you are doing well.

Hey everyone else. Have a spectacularly awesome day!

No internet sounds both awesome and crazy - which is guess is kind of what caddywampus is

Busy morning here - making me a little cranky but trying to keep perspective. I have a lot to be thankful for - but I just can't remember what all it is right now!!!

Have a great day everyone.

10 day migraine (which sucks). Oh well- time to drug up...I have been sneezing a lot (like 10 in a row) - so likely linked to seasonal hayfever. See in antihistamines work (the non drowsy, boring sort).

B- hope your world has some peace in it. About being late? It (for some very weird reason) reminded me of 'The Golden Girls'...where the tall, smart one (Dorothy?) is trying to get Blanche (the Southern belle) for a reason I cannot remember- (perhaps a word puzzle)to finish the saying 'better late than.....', to which feeling under pressure, Blanche blurts out 'pregnant'.

The thought of a 10 day migraine, gives me chills. I’m so sorry PJ. That must be awful.

Happy birthday September friends!

A day with daughters is the BEST Bobbie!

MITA, I get cranky. Heres my current mood after a long and too busy day:

I’m done with today, but it did include several positives:

I’m sober still for over a month. Hubby is almost to day five.

Found a great surgeon and had our first visit today. He recommended a whole team, including an oncologist, a radiation oncologist and a plastic surgeon. Appointments made. Wheels in motion.

AND.....the man has a sense of urgency! He could not believe how long I had to wait for a mammogram. In his office, people get mammograms in a day.

He was shocked they didn’t do an MRI to see if its spread. A new thing to worry about. The only bad part about today ~ another test where the result may be scary. Guess I should have seen that coming.

Hope everyone has a pleasant evening.

Nite!

Support to you LG. You can only do so much in a day- acceptance stuff takes time is frustrating for me- I resist kicking and screaming, wanting everything perfect and done even before I knew it needed doing (me, not you).

Morning class!! Grey and dreary here today. Feels kinda like Fall but by mid-afternoon it will be Summer again. Lol. And my jacket that seems logical right now will make me look like and idiot when I leave work later.

Lillian - continued prayers ❤️ Congrats to both you and hubby for your sober time. And so glad to hear you have found a health care team that is thourough and understands the importance of time.

PJ - hope you’ve gotten some relief from the migraine. 10 days sounds absolutely brutal. Hugs ❤️

Well off to work. So sleepy this morning. Would rather be going back to bed.

Happy Hump Day!

What great news.....all around.....5 days is so good....!!!
And I LOVE your new doctor.....this is the way to get things done.
Bet he also has a great bed-side manner.

Nick had skin cancer on his face and he was very scared.
His doctor was extremely unsatisfactory to me, so I found one who was a lovely specialist: dermatologist + surgeon, so it was easey peasey....(ish ), one clinic, lovely team, kind and caring professionals.

And they got it all. And bloody men.....not only do scars look cool, but his beard covers it anyway.

I know the MRI part is scary, but I believe it is going to be OK.
This guy knows what he is doing.

Sending you and your husband more love. ♥♥
