10:02 pm and a quick check in from California. Today was my son's 11th birthday, he's my baby, and I can't believe he is 11. He invited a few friends to play laser tag and go to lunch. We all had a great time. This was one of those weekends when my kids all hung out and got along with each other pretty much all weekend. They are all great kids, but there is almost always some sort of bickering, but not this weekend. Maybe I just didn't hear it, but I'm considering it a pretty perfect 48 hours.

Just the most heartfelt thank you to you all for holding my hand every day. You have turned me from desperate hopeless to free and hopeful. Grateful every day for the little things and at last the mother to my girls that they deserve.
What seemed like a pipe dream is now my normal. Long term sobriety. Wow. I can only reassure those out there struggling that I am certainly no super hero. I am just like you. Each victory over the AV does add up. Each day you get your head on the pillow sober is huge. Stick like glue here when you need to and remember that we are saving our lives here and that is worth every ounce of fight you have to give.
Grateful happy and free of the chains of addiction. Can't beat that! 24 more please ❤❤❤

Thanks all for your kind words of support for me and my wife. She'll get there. Slow and steady wins the race. A turtle told me that once.
Picked up a new coffee grinder yesterday. Old one was giving me tons of problems and I had no time to deal with it. I have about 8 ozs of beans I roasted last week and they are begging to be ground up and tossed in the french press. I haven't had a decent cup of coffee in months. I think I'll get started on that right now.
