I just got back from having a painful procedure done to my left eye. It was a shot. Ouch. Need I say more? These monthly shots reduce swelling in the center of my retina and supposedly help me see better.

It’s a quality of life thing, but maybe next month will be the end.

The pain is only around for a day, but it sure is unpleasant.

I might be scarce tonight.

Good Morning Kathy. Your eye procedure sounds horrible. My stomach flipped over just thinking about it. Can't imagine it. However, to see better, I would do it too. Is there any topical anesthetic they can give to make it less painful> .

The weather reports that you will be having a dreary, rainy day in your area. It would be a good opportunity for you to rest.

Hugs and wishes for a blessed day.

Hi, Rar.

I feel totally fine today!

They do give me three numbing drops in that eye, plus, they squirt it full of alcohol-free betadine to prevent potential infection.

The shot itself only takes a fraction of a second, in the very outside corner of the eye.

Anyway, it’s over now.

When I go back to him, they’ll test my vision in that eye. If it’s not measurably better, I’ll skip that day’s shot and not make another appointment.

I do plan to read today!

I’m headed to the mountains till Sunday morning..

To be fair, Badge, they’re not exactly the Rockies—they’re the foothills of the Blue Ridge—and our house is in a valley town. We are 973 ft. above sea level. We have found fossils of scallops there!
