Will go on a rescue mission for my little chickadees in a bit. Water is quite important for them when it freezes hard, I think.

Pure grace for you all today and my prayer is that we never lose a person to alcohol ever again. I wouldn’t wish this disease on a politician.
and a sense of humor besides....................... Suet too, of course.

Absolutely! I’m starting completely from scratch with a rocky, clay soil that is full of nutrients, but difficult to work and doesn’t drain well. I have a few houseplants but that’s it! I am a life-long apartment dweller so I haven’t a clue what I’m doing, but I’m starting by ripping off basic ideas from my neighbors when I drive by

I am going to start taking some ‘before’ pictures, It’s very Beforeish right now. . Would enjoy trading pics by email or text or something. If anyone else wants to chatter and share with us about your sober gardens, please holler! It’s so good to have new, creative hobbies.

Thank you!

Xx

I only went to aa meetings for about the first 3 months.

That was my socializing.

How ya doing now, Gabe? Drink water as much as you can tolerate.

Then try a bit of bland food.

Get to bed early.

The 'develpers' dug up round a quarter of my back yard for water pipes for the high rise they are building. What a mess, and loss of a few old trees. Now very much clay and continue to dig up parts of the old terracotta pipes. Currently looking at pots, and succulents which pretty well grow anywhere. It ain't what is used to be though.

Hey Kris, I'm doing ok. A lot better than this morning. I've been in bed all day but managed to get rehydrated.
It's really hard to face up to certain things. I've realised today how horribly I've been treating myself, turning recovery into some sort of punishment. I'm making friends with myself today. If I can believe I'm important to God then that's my start.

I'm priviledged to be part of this family. Thanks for checking in with me Kris. I hope you are well. Love to you x
