That's it Erfra, it's that deep knowledge that this isn't right, that we can be happy and can heal all that pain. I'm really glad you had a better day and thank you for your beautiful posts. I look forward to reading them every day 💗xxx

Oh my goodness me. In slo mo that dog looks as if he’s just taking a stroll up a castle wall. I don’t suppose Labradors are shaped for that kind of hi jink. They have an image problem - they’re portly and like lying by the fire. But my dog is an Olympic athlete. He’s got sleek muscles an all.

Thanks for that Neo. I kindov hoped Ireland is warmer than here, like the Azores or Madeira or something. My geography leaves a lot to be desired but I would like to be on a desert island 🏝 right now. Can you imagine! Oh so good. Somebody better not tell me they’re in one right now.

Anyway, day 2 here for me - my new day 1 was 3/17/18 (appropriately St. Paddy's Day!).

Hi Venuscat
Welcome back, MITA. So good to see you here! ❤️

Congrats to all of our Milestoners today. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Too funny

911, indeed! ❤️

At just over 2 years sober, I'm still surprised at my triggers. I can sit through a dinner party or social event, surrounded by drinkers and not be bothered at all. Yet, a tossed & empty small liquor bottle (the tiny ones that fit in a purse or pocket) on a walking trail can bring back bad memories and that throat tightening feeling.

Thanks PJ about the HALTS reminder. It has saved my sobriety many times.
H -am I hungry?
A - am I angry?
L - am I lonely?
T - am I tired or thirsty?
S - am I sad or stress?
If I'm any of the above, I try to take care of it.
Strange, those surprising triggers, aren't they?

They've opened their new outside bar for the season, where they've got a fire pit and wine slushies. Got a little down that I never got to try it, since by the time they opened it on a trial basis late last summer, I already realized I had a problem. So we left with old fashioned sodas in glass bottles (finally got to try Bubble Up!) Small win against the very gross AV who is rude and obnoxious just like most on st patty's.
Old fashioned sodas on bottles - awesome!

Well done, dear one! ❤️

We're the bottles nice and icy - I love sodas when there are slivers of ice inside.

Fantastic! While they’re making a mess, you’re doing something positive. Hallelujah!!! That man is a sober, grown up, useful member of the human race. Keep doing what you’re doing.
