Suze - contrary to the expectation that one's wedding is the most blissful day of her life, in reality it's brutal. I've been in several weddings, obviously including my own, and always there is much stress, frustration, sleep deprivation, hunger, meltdowns, and tears. Don't subscribe to the pressure to appear perfect right now.

And look, no matter what, you won't be drunk. That alone makes the day a huge success. Look where sobriety has gotten you. When we met, you were in such a sad place in your life. Today you are about to marry the man you love. Take a moment to look at the big picture and see how beautifully your life has grown and changed. That's what's truly important.

Don't try to live up to anyone else's expectations about your wedding. You will be beautiful, your husband will be enamoured with you, and your guests will be cared for. Perfect or not, everything will happen as it should.

Oh love.....thank you. ♥

And thank you dearest D

And yes....I just said that to Nick a little while ago.....far out.....I am sober.....possibly insane, but sober.

And everything that's truly important is all that matters. Breathe woman.....this is gonna be OK.

It is going to be better than. The two of you are all that matters.

Snuggle and cuddle today; your fears will dissipate.

Good morning all.

Great post Briar.

So here it is the big day! I recall hardly sleeping at all the night before my wedding. It was very traditional/formal. Typical for the time and our region back then.

A personal highlight of the last few days was hiking to the summit of Wheeler Peak. (triumphant selfie below )The altitude was a bit challenging for this low lander. A trek down to the bottom of Rio Grande Gorge was good too. Saw a huge snakeskin but thankfully did not see the donor.

An unexpected treat here is the magnificent night sky. Absolutely spectacular.

♥ We're getting married tomorrow....the last straw hit the camel's back and Suze came tumbling down this morning....we are both happy that it's tomorrow instead, for a lot of reasons. It's going to be here, in our lovely yard, and all the rest is already set up including guest and catering adjustments.

This was the last horrible miserable day in all of this....I worked for over 14 hours' straight yesterday....my legs hardly work today. It's done now, we can relax tonight.

Love you guys. ♥

Wonderful to hear, Suze. You've worked so hard. Hard at everything. Be proud and stand strong.
