Class of October 2014 Part 41
Congrats Mark!
Finally it's Halloween season. Now I can fly my goth flag without getting too many weird looks. I bought myself a silver pendant that's a rib cage (I love rib cages, they guard the heart, and they just look cool), and it's really funny to watch people stare at it and slowly realize what it is. Plus I have about 1,000 shirts and socks with skulls on them, so in a couple weeks those babies are getting worn to work with no shame. It's beautiful. I'm a little twisted.
Things are okay. I'm dealing with the usual depression after a nice high stretch that really helped me do some positive things. The big one was learning to climb, which I'm determined to continue even though now I've lost a lot of my energy and enthusiasm. Also great was coming back here and getting socially involved, confidently making new friends, completing projects, etc. I hold onto what I can when the bottom falls out. It's a struggle.
I've also been working on my disaster preparedness. Stocking up and mapping out a plan. We live a few miles from the San Andreas Fault, and the big earthquake is coming, so we're all going to be screwed for a while. No worries, we're ready to bug out for a few days. I even keep a three day survival kit under my desk in case I get trapped under there at work. This isn't exactly the newest building, and I work on the ground floor. My coworkers are cops and plan to shoot out their office windows and escape. I, however, don't have window nor a gun, so for me it's the old "duck and cover."
Suze - I hope you are adjusting to married life. I know it's been tough, but life will settle down.
Love to all!

Has there been an increase in seismic activity recently?
