Agreed - we have all come a long way since those early difficult days. I love being sober and appreciating life. Time is flying by so fast as I approach my 73rd birthday that I don’t want to miss a moment.
Sassy kitty is awesome! She gained 2 lbs in the first 6 months since she joined me and the vet was not happy. It has been a somewhat trying 4 months while getting her weight back to normal. She is finally there and in the meantime she has become even more snuggly and loving.
Duff, I also love how you are handling this. I know it’s not easy and it won’t solve all problems but it will make a big difference in your quality of life.

Wow ! did someone say Pizza ? Sounds wonderful. I'm not picky I
can eat just about any kind.
A lot going on right now and I'm just trying to get along and keep my head
above water. I really can't swim and the AV thinks he can take over.

Still working crazy amount of hours, will end this week with 38 hours overtime, absolutely nothing I can do about it. I will have Thanksgiving off, but we are working the next day, we have had that as a paid day off the last 2 years. If we do have to work it will be triple pay!

Babs, we are your life raft honey, cling on and wait out the surge. Thing will settle back to calmer waters soon I am sure. Don't listen to that AV, the life belt he is offering is made of lead.
We have a pizza place in Turre in Spain, the pizzas are exactly how I like them ( the base is really thin and crispy, not for pizza pie purists!!)

Budd, are the folks running the company from the Middle Ages?!
I love pizza with a thin crispy crust.
Babs, my second year sober was rocky at times during the first half. Are you still going to AA meetings? If not, that might be a help rather than white knuckling

I think upper management gets bonuses on production numbers and nobody is watching the bottom line. They don't seem to care about how much overtime we work. Our last scheduled day off was September 5th. Fortunately I didn't use any vacation time early in the year, I still have 3 days left!

HI ! My H met with his family members to discuss there Mother.They all drink and he did have a bloodymary that night. and a couple of beers the next night. Last night he had none. ! ! so, I don't say a peep. I remember too well, if the fridge door opened and that look to see if I had a drink or sneak off to the bedroom to have a straight shot of Vodka. There is sooo much tension that I'm just laying low. That's just all I'm going to say for now. Thank you for your concerns Gilmer. I feel so good about being able to come here and unload my feelings. Have a good day everyone. Hope you are all doing ok.

I must be off my rocker!
I bought two overloaded carts worth of Thanksgiving groceries today, and I didn’t get the vapors!
Now I’m relaxing watching a movie. Very worn out—headed for bed as soon as it ends.

Hi Everyone ! Today we went to the nursing home and My MIL is now on Morphine (not sure of the spelling) and we did not stay long at all. My Hubby
had a hard time seeing her like this. He did not drink tonight but, I feel the tension and like you said Trach I'm taking control of myself. It's 1:22AM and I can't sleep so, that's why I'm here now. HOLY Crap ! ! ! ! it's my 1 year and 7 months today ! ! Well, doesn't that just beat all. Ok. I'm feeling good now ! ! ! !
Have a wonderful day everyone ! ! You know what you guys? You people are the only ones that know to the date how long I've been sober other than my AA group. My close friends haven't a clue ! ! ! but then, you are my friends.
