Feeling a bit deep and philosophical today. Bear with me ..... I'm beginning to feel properly connected to the world again. When I was drinking, I felt like life was something that happened to me. If I had a good day, it was luck. If I had a bad day, it was what I expected. I'm beginning to realise that I'm in control of what happens in my life. Yes, bad stuff is going to happen because life isn't perfect and it isn't supposed to be. How would we learn anything if life was perfect? But the bad stuff doesn't have to define who I am and become a reason for me to drink. I can use the bad stuff as an opportunity to grow even stronger. Everyone gets given a hand of cards in life and when I was drinking I wasn't playing mine very well. Now I feel like I'm back in the game.

24 more please. I have lost the ability to sleep more than a few hours each night. Very anxious and worried. Going to get through this work day, and find a way to relax. Not easy but I will make it fun. Time for a retreat. I'll be so glad I did.

Nic, your not a fraud. You came here and, told us what happened. A fraud wouldn't have done that.
You also seem very distraught over it. You have every right to be distraught over what was done to you.

cold wet Wisconsin here.. I am in for another 24 and a weekend.. wow .. prayers and thoughts to all in Mexico and Florida and reaching out over the waters.. Irma is a mess..and the one in back of her is pushing more to their limits.... have to try and touch base with my Cousin in Texas .. see how they are doing..... heard of Mexico and the Earth Quake there and more to follow. with a possible ocean swell to land on them soon... Prayers and hopes for a safer tomorrow.. ardy in wisconsin
