Good morning Overs.

PJ, I love the image of cops running up the interstate with their coffee mugs.

Have a great day everyone.

Serene- yes I do know some strange people name their undies after footwear. 'tis oft said male Aussies wear as such because we cannot tie shoelaces.

Good morning!

I had a laugh at all the posts this morning too. It feels good to laugh. When I graduated middle school on the paper they gave us for the ceremony dress code it said "No thongs". I looked at my best friend and said "How are they going to know?"

SereneEdition- the shrimp sounds really good. I love to cook. We don't go out to eat a lot so if I want a nice meal I have to cook it. haha.

I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Hi y'all.
So I haven't eaten meat since that documentary What the Health almost two weeks ago. I just haven't wanted it. And I feel like I have more energy. Don't know if that's specifically why but there you go.
The noisy pain in the *ss upstairs just moved out, finally. Hallelujah! I was able to sleep without earplugs last night for the first time in four months.
Made a huge veggie stew with my veg last night, is delicious! The beans, peas, kale, and zucchini are all growing like crazy. I feel like I should preserve some.....thoughts? Tips? Recipes? Canned beans? Hmmmm.....oh and I have tons of tomatoes, the biggest one is almost ready to pick, I've had my eye on him for three weeks! It will almost be sad to cut him up. It's been cooler here the last few days.
Anyhoo I must go. Oh my new employers did something dodgy, changed my rate on my contract without telling me. I have to deal with it today. Great.
Happy Friday!

Inpar, brilliant! I guess you could always make more veggie stew and freeze in sizeable containers? Is zucchini what we call aubergine? I had a fabulous veggie recipe with aubergines I got from a Greek cookbook. I'll see if I still have it. It had chillies in also, so had a nice kick to it. Pleased you got rid of the noise above!

Have a brilliant weekend overs, going to be nice weather in UK tomorrow until the evening. Got a busy day at home.

Hi overs, me again! I put the recipe on my profile page.

Inpar. How does Aubergines and Peppers Szechuan Style sound?
I've put the recipe on my profile page if you want to see it. It's nice and it can be as hot and spicy as you want it. It want from the Greek cookbook but from my hot and spicy cooking book. Hope you like it.

MMM Mags, my mouth watered as soon as I read about Szechuan peppers and Aubergine!!!! Yum! BUT, I almost don't have the heart to tell you, ,Aubergines are what we call eggplant! I looked it up, what we call zucchinis are what you guys call "courgette". Got any good courgette recipes? And by the way aubergine is one of my favourite veg so I will definitely be using that recipe anyway, thank you!!!
Hope all you lovely Overs have a relaxing weekend.
I'm not even going to tell you what my new employers are doing because it's kind of gross. Going to deal with it on Monday I guess!

Oh PJ--that bread tag tip for the flip flops--brilliant!!!!! Mind blown over here. Leave it to you Aussies to revolutionize beach footwear! What part of Australia are you in? I spent six months in Western Australia, Way Back When. In Dunnsborough (don't remember the spelling) Margaret River area, beautiful!!!! You can bet I enjoyed the wine. *eye roll*

Hi guys, had no internet for a few days, we stayed on a farm in a remote area where the Internet was patchy at best. The wedding was a lovely event filled with love and laughter, and quite a few sentimental tears. I have a very soggy nephew who cries at the drop of a hat. I've told him he will need to take his own vows in sign language as he will never manage to speak throu his tears! It was his brother who married.

IP I hope the pay issue was an error and not deliberate, or it doesn't bode well . I hope they sorted it.

FBL, I promise to be on my best behaviour until the camel is freed!

IP- my little slice of heaven is 'delaide. In the middle, 2/3 down (South Aust).
I used to be a seasonal fruit picker (apricots) in the Riverland (Murray-r- South/Aust). A lot of the land in between the hills surrounding Adelaide and the river-l is bleak, sunblasted miles of nothing. The used to be a thong tree there. A wayside rest stop (it had a bin and a tree). People used to mark their passing behind it (loo stop) and in it by throwing a thong into the deal looking branches.

Good morning Overs.

My DD thought I'm lost it when she saw me stroking the hedge with a stick. I was knocking the rain off so I can cut it later without getting electrocuted.

Have a good one everyone.
