Fbl - Nice work! You're doing really well with this this new job.

Saskia - I looked up Maine Coon cats, as I don't know much about animals or breeds. I read that they are very playful; it must be really fun to have that type of cat in your life!

Suze - I think having one Illness after another is simply life sometimes. It's not your fault.

I have a fear of being sick. Physically experiencing symptoms of simple illnesses triggers my anxiety. I am working on taking it in stride.

Kris - Good luck with the 2nd eye.

Andy - A job completed well is very satisfying.

Stargazer - We had a lovely, mild weekend in CT but the storm is headed here - a nor'easter without the snow. I enjoy hunkering down for a storm every now and then, and not shoveling is definitely a bonus.

Thanks everyone!

Star, they made sure we were fed last time at the eye clinic. They even bring you the food and give you a voucher to order. I brought my own fruit just in case. This was the best part of it all a free lunch. Well almost.

Hi overs

Kris, all the best with your left eye procedure

Andy, that's some hard going, especially if the stones are frozen together. I love the stone walls though, they look such a natural part of the the countryside.

Suze, I'm pleased you're feeling better. Don't be hard on yourself, you don't deserve that.

Hiya goat!

Got a chest infection. Not had one since last July time, but the meds I'm on, well the specialist don't like you on them for too long so they've changed them back to my old meds which don't seem to work as effectively and you have to keep away from people with chicken pox, measles and viruses!
How would you know if anyone's got a virus! So of course. I caught a cold and one thing led to another. I'm ok though, just worse when I lay down, hence me awake at 2am, lol, then again, that can happen quite often, too! Lol.

Speak later overs.

Suze,
Thanks, my BIL & SIL are good folk. Are you better? Garlic, love it or hate it, there's no middle ground.
Having a year of felling sick is too long for me. My in laws are that way, always sick or tired or both. I don't know how y'all do it! Hang in there, it does get better.

Star,
Yep, at least she won't be in foster care. We are trying to get the baby daddies, three of them, to take their daughters. Two have already. The 12 year old's dad is making excuses. The problem with keeping her is her mom comes over with tracks up and down her arms and has not trained her kiddo to even pick up and put things away, and then that it is OK to lie out of everything. She really needs psychiatric help and we're trying to get it now.

Sassy,
Anyone that would like to can take it into pm, or email if they are so inclined. As well, there are political websites galore we can go where anything goes and the flames are fast and hot. Even some polite ones.
I have f2f friends I can talk to, but my best buddy, and political twin, an equally well read, retired military intelligence buddy, I met while we both were full time RVrs, just passed away last month just before my FIL. I've other old friends, but few like Bob. He was my cheering section when everyone else thought my investing in Tesla on IPO insane, and who wanted my counsel too. I even hired him for a year and taught him, the ultimate city boy, how to use transits and site, design, and cost out post frame buildings. He did well enough. He was only a few years my senior. But only here can I talk as openly. We were both left on the right issues and right on what was left. He is missed.

FBL,
Me too. I slipped.
Yep it was the top 40 book. It makes sense to split them up - more detail.
That he liked your work was not suspenseful. I am glad he praises face to face. Your work atmosphere is well deserved when everyone works for everyone. It is fulfilling to feel you've lived up to the bosses expectations.

RZ,
Yeppers, don't take yourself so seriously!

Kris,
You have a nice day too. Good luck on the left eye. You already know it's easy.

Mags,
You help our transitions more than you might realize. Another chest infection? Oh I am sorry you too are not up to snuff. Aren't you glad we have the Internet for late nights and wee hours of the morning?

Gil.

Andy,
Dang! I must have missed it. Why are you moving tons of walling stones?

Star,
We had 60s today and 75 tomorrow!

The storms devastated here too. Damage everywhere just north of us in Plain Dealing LA. As well as south of us. We avoided tornadic damage once again.

Glee,
Yup, been through a lot of CT winters in Fairfield county 1964-1971,

Nick!!!!

IP
Nite!

I've been tired but it has been feeling really old when folks way younger than me are dyeing all around me. I am realizing I realize the value of old friends is even more dear when they leave us. My life is excellent, with a few sore vertebrae to keep me humble. Sorry, no fears to share except for my kids and grandkids.

Oh well, I'm back on the night shift. Staying up until 4AM and then getting 9 good hours. Funny but when working it is looked on as acceptable. When retired folks act like I'm lazy. They say I lost the day and I say that is why my workshop has electricity and lights!

Nite all.

I'm so sorry about your friend dearest Itchy.
It never gets easier to lose people we care about.
So much love to you. ♥

Yep, garlic is not my friend, that's for sure. And I can add another to the list of things that sends me into anaphylactic shock now ~ sea salt. Unbelievable.

Apparently they are going to stop making bubble wrap, which is a shame, because I think I may need to be encased in the stuff. LOL.

Hope you enjoy the wee hours. ♥

(And yes, I am better, thank you).

G' nite Inpar! Sweet dreams.

Hi itchy!

Hi Suze! Sea salt!

Had a dream earlier I was going away, holiday of some sort, but it was disaster and all I could think of was buying a bottle of vodka for when I got to my destination. But worried it would kill me! Weird hey! Fortunately, I woke up.

Have a terrific Tuesday overs.

Disaster vacations we can handle, vodka not so much.
Maybe that dream was your subconscious reminding you that there are better coping strategies for us now.

I was actually just talking to a counsellor about stress.
I keep forgetting what a huge trigger it can be.

Hope you don't have to go to work today love; a relaxing, healing day with movies and soup and tea and cats sounds very nice.

Good morning Overs.

Best wishes for your procedure Kris.

Mags keep warm and get well.

Venus, I love garlic. Don't go to Korea they eat it by the kilo.

Itchy - In a moment of madness we decided to have a drystone wall rebuilt. I was persuaded that all the stone was there the wall had just fallen over, piffle! We are having to move stone from another boundary wall that is beyond repair.
We must have moved near to thirty tonnes with about ten more to go. Access is bad and the soil won't support machinery unless it is frozen or dry, I have double wheels on the tractor and trailer.
But the wall looks really good, I'm pleased with it.

Have a good day everyone.

Wishing a speedy recovery to all the under the weather overs.

Itch, yep, I'm blessed to have a job that I love and a great boss to boot. He was an idol of mine growing up and it's cool that we've become friends as well as co-workers. I never forget that he's the boss, but he will listen and we always seem to work things out. We often have some fun discussions on music, sports and life in general.

It looks like the book will be going to the printer today. Then it's on to the next project. It's a HUGE one that requires a lot of research, but it still beats working

Have a Terrific and/or Tolerable Tuesday, gang!
