I can clear up the mess. More of an annoyance than anything.

I don't know if I'm projecting or what but, I have a STRONG gut feeling that my youngest had something to do with it. I am not going to accuse her or anything because I have no proof and know that she wouldn't admit to it if she did it.

Sorry things are so yucky up- I would imagine that they'd be worse if you weren't making the progress you have made- don't sell yourself short- I think the gremlin loves to tell us sobriety isn't worth it. Is there anyone you can visit with to help you sort thru possibilities that might make things better? Even if it's not a counselor? I know for me, sometimes a different perspective helps.

You ok Obo? I was bit by a brown recluse once- what I didn't know after the initial treatment was how long the comlete recovery would take. D--- insects. !

Mariah- I'm so glad you are enjoying your job- sounds like a good one! Maybe ill look into something like that one of these days ...

Have a great weekend, everyone ❤️

Free- if you ever do do this, we def need a picture! A friend mentioned running a marathon yesterday ... you ambitious types! I'm doing good these days to walk the dog

Izzy, I'm planning on my slack line to be no more than a few inches off the ground - so not much risk of injury. Although there is a chance I could sustain something unpleasant if I were to trip over it

Niece returned after 2 months I n rehab this week. I'm told she looks wonderful & has a laughter we haven't heard for a very long time. Praying she can stay the course here & make a good life for she & the kiddos.

Off to work this am....shooting pool & setting up for a big band entertainment. Have a good day all!

That's wonderful news Mariah, I hope she can keep it together too.

I've been playing with a new toy today. My instant pot has arrived. I've made a lentil bean bake for tomorrow's dinner. It's a great bit of kit, but much bigger than I was expecting. Plenty of room for several batches of hearty vegetable soups. Working out how much liquid to put in each time is a bit of guess work at the moment.

I've never used a pressure cooker before, but I think it's going to be fun.

Hope everyone's day is going well.

Obo, hope you're recovering well.

Tops, how's things?

Free, this guys slackline was about a foot off the ground at the ends where it attached to the trees.

That's great news Mariah, I hope she changes her life for the better. If she goes back to seeing old drug friends she will fail.

How are you obo?

Have a great day everyone.

That's kind of what I'd aim for UP, about a foot up would be ideal. Still trying to persuade OH!

Did I mention that I applied for a proofreading course? Well the course material has arrived, and I've made a start early this morning. I'm enjoying it so far. I have two small assignments to send back tomorrow. It's fun getting back in the learning mode again.

It's the perfect job for an introvert like me. It might lead to something interesting in the future.

Off to see my parents after I've finished breakfast.
Have a great day all.

You're sounding like you've got your energy back now Mariah, that's good to hear. Good luck with the garage and car.

Dee, did you freelance as a proofreader? I'm hoping to give it a try. It's early days yet, and there's a lot to learn, but I think it could be my dream job if I can master it well enough.

It's fun trying anyway.

Yes, very productive day with 2 big jobs off the list. & 4 loads of laundry done. Nice to get into a clean car. I also took all the dog blankets & bed covers down to laundry mat down the road. I'm thinking ofnfosteringna dog. Not sure the cat thinks that's a good idea.

Night Mariah.

Struggling here. Very traumatic experience.

The physical knock was hard enough but the psychological fallout is far worse.

My anxiety disorder is through the roof....

Every time I have a bite or itch I start panicking a little.

There are ants everywhere here. Literally.

Broke run of sobriety is why I didn't post...

Bought a case of beer. Drank about 4 all up then stopped. Gave them away the next morning. To an alcoholic friend.

Thst was Saturday after the follow up doctor appointment.

She repeated I could have died..... Banging on about how serious this is. As if I don't know. I saw the look on the nurses face in emergency when the adrenaline shot didn't work.

I'm not sure what the outcome will be here.

In the short-term I just want to go away on a holiday at the beach and try to relax....

Very very upsetting for all of us.

This would definitely be a good time to get in touch with your therapist Obo. It'll take a bit of time to get over, for sure.
Thank goodness you're ok.
(Had you thought of coming to England to live, we don't have much in the way of poisonous creatures here, and the in-laws don't need to know - just get your post forwarded, they'll me none the wiser )
