Ok Freein...

Im about to go for a walk outside.

Found out an old mate had a diving accident and wont walk again...

I guess I'm lucky to just have an allergy.

February here. Will be my first full month sober for a while.

It is my prediction that we will go to war this year..... It has all the hallmarks of a revolution. Too much fear.

He has 3 kids.
Happened 3 years ago.
Now in the courts fighting for compensation.

Bloody hell it can be rough out there.

It can...but all the more reason not to let it take us down I reckon, Obo.

That is tragic Obo & am sorry. its those stories that make me think about gratitude for my own circumstances for sure. How was the walk. I'm about 5 weeks sober now & grateful for that....feeling so much better. You had a good stretch of sobriety not that long ago....just add to it now one day at a time...you can do this!

Time for my episode of 4 if Dateline Night All

Thanks Mariah.

Walk was good.... I'm in my head a lot still so walking always calms me down. I even ran about a quarter of it.

Yes I've had a few good runs at it. Im now looking for another therapist. I have a GP appointment on Friday. Blood tests for anaphylaxis study. So I'll ask her if she knows anyone.

I trust our doctor. So that's one positive over the past few weeks.

Congrats on 5 weeks that's awesome!

Happy Birthday, Free!!

Obs- Congrats on the sober month! Good luck on the search for the therapist

Mariah- Congrats on 5 weeks, that's huge!

Sorry for some distance guys! Life is good on my end. I've been super busy with school, but I will try to be around more. Recovery is good and I took a friend to his first two AA meetings this past week. It was nice to help another person. Also, I went on a promising first date. Anyways, in for the bargain.

Thank you all for your birthday well-wishes

My internet connection is a bit inconsistent at the minute, because I've just changed my provider, and apparently it takes a little while for it to be up and running properly (but it is half the price of BT!)

Mariah, great work on 5 weeks,

I'm loving my proofreading course - and seem to be doing quite well too! I'd love to do this full-time one day.

Obo, hope you find a new therapist soon. I'm sure it will be a major key to your success.

Noolan, good luck for the date, hope you have a great time.

Have a great day all.

Back on track.

Found a new therapist. Well an old one actually.

Jungian therapy. Famous dude in Melbourne. I had to send his colleagues an email as you can't contact him from any details online.

I saw him before i went to HK. About a friends suicide. I knew i left too early.

Anyway bingo. He accepted me back.

Next Wednesday afternoon...
MY email to him was all about my intention and his ability.... Still facing similar issues. Etc....

I'm happy about this.

Happy too being sober and in recovery!

That is great Obo! If he is a good one that will be a great help to you I'm sure. I'm headed back to therapy too but won't be the same one & hope it is a good one. Keep on trucking there Obo, were right here with you! I'm really lovin this sober thing & feeling grateful for it more than I ever have.....that last run I had was miserable & I know it's always going to be that way with me & alcohol & I love the freedom I feel with even 5 weeks distance from it.

I've been pushing myself out of my comfort zone both at work & in my personal life by engaging more with people & making connections. I'll have to tell you I'm kinda liking this on my own business since the Sons moved the house stays clean which sure frees up my time to do something other than clean!! Tired here tonight & going to call it a day.

I'm so happy to hear that Obo, you're sounding much more encouraged and focused. This new therapist sounds just the ticket.

Mariah, I know what you mean about having the house to yourself! 5 weeks is a great run of sobriety, it's just a matter of replacing old habits with new now. That can be fun, trying out new things. Keep keeping on, you're on track. You don't ever need to go back to those old habits any more, isn't that a great feeling? Freedom.

It's the end of another week, off to work shortly. It should be a good day - I have scheduled in a weekly review time, which is helping to keep on top of things (from David Allen's, Getting Things Done).

I'm in for the Bargain!
