Class of November 2016 Support Thread Part 3
I don't think I would have made it through today without you beautiful Nic. You made sure I stayed on the straight and narrow. I love you to bits. I'm off to bed now. Hopefully can get some sleep. Stay strong everyone. We can do this together xxxxx

So today I have been thinking about a friend of mine who was drinking up to a litre of vodka a day, she quit for health reasons and because she wanted to by that point, but because her body was dependant they had to actually give her shots of vodka in the hospital to try wean her off of it. Eventually her body just gave up and shut down and unfortunately we lost her.
Just remember folks that looking after yourself is absolutely key and always (not just sometimes) its not going to be as simple as you think. Take care x

Wow, the Nobenders class is a lot like the March class. I can barely keep up. I had a ton of work to do yesterday so I couldn't read everyone's posts, but welcome to all the newcomers and congrats to all who made it through another day. I'll try to go back and catch up later today.
I've got just a few hours until that big front that's sweeping America gets here with snow, and I've still got to clean out some flower and herb beds. Last year the yard went through winter looking like hell and I vowed that wouldn't happen again.
Day eight feels good.
Stay secure and sober everyone. I'm proud of us all, including--dare I say it--me.
PS: hey Mish, good to see you. Are we gonna get this right? Yes we are.

You've stopped me having that first drink many times over-
You're waking up on day 2!! Yay - love you.
Finishing up on day 5- happy that I got through the dreaded Friday and Saturday nights without drinking- spent a lovely night watching a movie with my Teenage boys and I can actually remember the plot for a change haha!!!
Bring on day 6
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe xx

ApplK- you know me as well as any here by my words. You do not ever need say sorry. If there is a need- keep posting. Thoughts and my empathy with you on the journey we all share. Sucks at times. Thing is- THIS journey means when one of us becomes sore and tired from the walking alone- turns out the others around us carry our burdens and prop us up to make it through another day. Never alone, never be sorry, never give up on yourself. You are a good person. PJ

Thanks Phoenix!
So basically I had pre-determined I would "let myself" have white wine on Thanksgiving day. So yesterday I said, what the heck? May as well have some tonight too.
Messed up thinking. Here to try harder today.

Chin up Applekat! Unfortunately this is a mental healing process and its never going to be perfect, particularly since we are trying to kick habits. The important thing is that you havent given up :-)
Day 14. Two weeks!
Work stunk last night. Hopefully tonight is better, going to go in with a good attitude.
Lot of great openness and support in this thread last night. Glad to see so many folks helping each other. Welcome to all the new folks! Sorry for the brevity here but gotta go face the day.
I'm not going to drink today. Who else is in?
