Having my hair cut later on for the first time in three years.
An Aussie airline? What kind of an airline won't let you on unless you get a haircut? And I hope you're the "right size" (both latitude and longitude). Will you have to take a shower as part of the boarding process? Mouthwash? Teeth flossed? Sounds like that movie, "Soul Plane"! (Last time I flew they gave me an Xray which looked like they were giving me a colonoscopy. Searching for bombs in my bowels. Reminds me of the fellow who swallowed his glass eye....)

I had the game on my gorgeous new phone inches from my face and basically watched about 20 mins in total. I brought my new computer home yesterday, and being me, had to get it running and configured to my exact specifications. Plus all of my data....so good to go now. Until Windows messed us all up today with an update that disabled the wireless driver....oh, what fun. But I fixed it.

So.....I kind of missed the game, but I didn't miss the aftermath. I live near the city, and there were sirens to the max all night. I went to bed around 2am and I could still hear them. Things must have gotten crazy out there with people celebrating.

Congratulations Suze on the Big Win. Although, being a nerd, I've never been much of an athletic supporter (???) Squash is my sport. Got so I could beat most of my students. Made them mad.
Looking forward to following your big adventure. Don't overdo. Go with the flow, etc. They allow "emotional support dogs" in the plane cabin. Maybe you could travel with an Emotional Support Kangaroo. Just get a letter from your doctor: Must have a Roo present at all times. Think of the press coverage when you hit the U.S.! Of course you'd have to stay in Roo friendly B&B's. Or share a cage at some zoo.

Venus cat: Hello. I seem to be having trouble contacting Australia. Have the aborigines rebelled and taken over? Has the island floated away (is it attached to anything?) Or am I thinking of the French dessert (quite good actually) Anyway, bon appetit and/or bon voyage, whichever happens to be the case! (Keep the sherry out of my custard (no zabaglione tricks!) In my drinking days I sure did spike the zabaglione!

I'll bet it's only five million things to do. Piece of cake! Glad you're not going to Italy (the Fatal Glass of Zabaglione!). Bon voyage.

53 pages in the Melbourne Herald Sun coverage.
Every dog has it's day, they say, and 62 years was along time.

Bon voyage, whenever Venus! Enjoy!

Our indigenous people have taken a softly softly approach since the invasion. We were once attached to Tasmania but an amicable separation took place............./

If the natives are as you say, softly, softly, do not put sherry in their zerbelloni.

Suze, you've probably thought of this, but I just downloaded a 'white noise' app and plan to pick up some noise isolating ear buds to use on my transpacific flight. With that and possibly a sleep aid I'm hoping to snooze for a significant portion of the journey.

I can't believe I'll be in the Southern Hemisphere just as you're in my neck of the woods! Wishing I had two months like you, but thankful for two weeks.

I don't use sleep aids Mark ~ but thank you.
Your trip is still a few months away, yes?
Don't worry about the long flight.....it's really not so bad.
I will enjoy myself ~ imagine all of the people I will meet.
I'll probably get off the plane with a half a dozen new friends.

Anna ~ this is going to be so special....hopefully I will be able to sepak to you after I get to New York. And you too Mark.

P.S. "Planes, Trains and Automobiles". Just as in the film, make sure you''re not sitting next to a fat man who takes the shoes off his smelly feet, talks about selling shower curtain rings and goes to sleep with his head-on your shoulder!
