Class of October 2014 Part 33
Thanks and congrats Suze
Life moves along here. Not much has changed. Still sober, still training my replacement, more fires, more wonderful crafts! A lot of nail polish jewelry and denim book covers have been going down in this house, and it's been a great way to stay positive. Little projects give me something to look forward to and keep me from sinking too low.
And applesauce. Oh my goodness, my sister/brother in law grow Fuji and yellow delicious apples and gave me several bags of them to make into applesauce. I added no sugar, just a dash of cinnamon and salt, and it tastes exactly like apple pie filling. My daughter gets a cup of it for breakfast and thinks she's getting spoiled with pie. Fall is such a nice time around here, owing in part to the apples.

Sounds good, Briar! Nice to see you. Apples are in full swing over here too, although not as abundant as last years prolific crop. Odd year weather wise and once again we are experiencing drought conditions. Seven inches below normal for rainfall. Trees, lawns, and plants are all drying up. Clients not happy and expect an irrigation system to cover all the bases when they only put out 1/8 of an inch of water per zone @ 30 minutes. Com'on people. Your wealthy. Do your homework!
Oh, congrats Ladies!

Hi all,
That hike sounds nice Arbor....a nice respite from the stresses of your work life. Well deserved. I shall put a bit of New England hiking on my list.
My work life of late brings to mind the song 'Under Pressure' by Queen! But a pleasant breeze has brought about merciful relief from the beastly heat. That and a little patio time just now allowed my mind to go far and away! Ah sweet relief.
So now a 4-day weekend awaits!
I hope you're healing nicely Leigh and that the worst of the soreness is behind you.

Just found out that the biopsy reflected clear margins around the mass so the only thing left to do is heal!!!!!!!! Thank god.
Still very tender but making good progress, I think. Stitches should be removed one week from today.
Wear sunscreen, dear ones, and lather up your little ones. Try to have regular skin checks; this thing appeared so very innocuous on the surface but so much was going on underneath (which is often the case when it occurs on the face - not so much when it occurs on the torso but it was in my case).

I'll second that^^^^^^^^^^^
Inspired by your post Leigh I plan to look around for some sort of hat to wear in the harsher sunshine that has a brim to shelter the ears. Its recommended for hiking and I should use for outdoor chores. Maybe academy sports? Finding one that will convince me to replace my beloved baseball cap will be a task, but I often forget to put sunscreen on my ears!
But for now here goes, a quick (I hope) trip to SAMs for some office stuff.

Also very glad to hear that darling Leigh... ♥
A cold dark and soon-to-be-wet Saturday here, not Mother Nature's best for the football grand final, that's for sure. What a shame....
Love to everyone.

Hey gang,
Sun's not up yet but it's a refreshing 55 degrees out and hi of 82 this afternoon with much lower humidity. That means autumn here and will only get better this month......you picked the best time to visit the area Suze. Speaking of that I saw a huge butterfly yesterday fluttering about the lantana for the longest time. It made me think of you Suze and your almost here journey. I made a vid with my iPad but couldn't figure out how to post.
It's an empty house as my girls are away so I'm gonna head out to the country and have coffee with my mom and (step)dad.
Wishing each of you the best day.
