I want to confess to you guys that I have been having a Strong urge to use tonight.

I guess it's lucky that I'm broke even though the AV is trying to come up with ideas on how to get money.

Just wanted you guys to know ... I know that I will regret it if I do so you don't need to respond telling me not to.

UP, all construction help is gratefully received here - I'll have some carrot soup ready for lunch!

Seriously though, are your visitors likely to move on soon? Nothing is worth the risk of using again, you've come too far to go back now. I hope it calms down soon, otherwise you'll likely have to call a house summit meeting and get some ground rules sorted out.

Today should see all the window frames fitted.

Tops, you're right, they are very heavy. They won't be glazed until later, thank goodness - we'd never be able to lift them glazed. We'll have some help today too, so what could go wrong?

I'm stepping up my health mission this week. Trying out some new vegan recipes,. This is always music to OH's ears (kind of head banging music rather than a tranquil symphony), so there's probably going to be few pans on the compost heap by the middle of the week. I am undeterred though - the mission must go on.

I'm ok.

Unfortunately, I am the guest. Sometimes I think I would be better off staying in my house with no electric or water than staying here.

SSDD One day things have to improve.

I hope you managed to get back to sleep, Mariah. Have you any time off soon? It sounds like you might need to slow down a bit for a while. Your body is possibly still trying to recover from that nasty virus you had? I know it's hard to slow down when there's so many demands on you. Sending some peaceful thoughts your way, friend.

Hard to say.

Part of the problem is that I am having a time trying to find a job ... long story.
If I could get my back straightened out I could find work tomorrow.

Thanks Freein......I have Monday & Tuesday off (I could & might work Monday for double time & also I will be covering front desk for someone 2 nights this week so will have a bit of a break from the cleaning.

So sorry about your situation Up.....can you not get disability benefits? I know it's a long process & sure all that starts with the MRI & a diagnosis from Doc so just keep that step in the works & press them to do it. People are pretty understanding if you might hit some trucking Co, explain your situation & find some type of work that you could do for them that wouldn't hurt your back? I imagine you are feeling overwhelmed by your situation, so try & just keep it a step at a time. I know this job is back to square one for me with my qualifications but it's been good for me to just be working. Anyway, know that we care about you & here to support you the best we can. I am looking at internet marketing.....find a niche & these young people are making a living at home.....working an hour a day. My Son is encouraging me to research this. Give yourself a break tonight friend & get some rest

The weekends go too quickly. Didn't manage to get all of the roof joists up, we ran in to a few problems, but we're back on track now. It's hard work, for sure, hats off to people who do building work for a living, it's like going to the gym for eight hours. Only one minor injury, I cut my finger!

Definitely planning an early night tonight with a book.

Hope you've had a good night's sleep UP.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend.

Off work & do not have to be back until Wendseday at 3:00!! House to myself for now & could easily just curl up & read but thinking I might will myself out...maybe go to the river for a walk. Maybe not

You working tonight TS? Probably a busy one for you there. I hate fireworks in July! I have a bit of fire phobia anyway. Started in here late last night about the time I was headed for bed....closed Windows & turned air on so I could sleep k not scare granddaughter dog so much. I imagine tonight will be even worse. I did get some sleep last night. 60 days sober tomorrow!

Happy 4th to you too Up!

Going to do some organizing/cleaning here at home for a few hours until Son is awake & hopefully go do something away from the house today. Just so nice to be home, goodnight a sleep, went back to sleep this am, coffee in bed with my book. Headed out to water the garden. Be safe all!!

Happy 4th everyone.

I'm not a firework fan either Mariah, give me a quiet early night any day. If I'm up late on a clear night I'd rather gaze at the stars. A shooting star is a true spectacle.

Tops, how's the skiff project coming on ?

Managed to get a few more roof joists cut this evening before the rain came.
It won't be long before it's finished.

Hope everyone's had a great start to the week.
