You'll get there. Just keep trying. I'm learning it takes a while for our bodies to adjust and heal. For me, middle age is a health struggle in itself. Just can't do the same things or push myself to hard or I end up paying for it for weeks after!

ICan.. the pink cloud is a feeling of euphoria in early sobriety. I never had a pink cloud, darn. Yeah, hypothyroid definitely can cause fatigue, depression etc. I've not been 100% with thyroid meds, or Vitamin D lately. .maybe contributing to this depression. At least I wish, those are an easy fix. Hope you get everything sorted out!

Today I did nothing but read about and watch videos of Prince. Hard to find his official videos on YouTube. I think it's an obsession now, pretty much daily since he passed. I still have his early vinyls.

OT and PHRD, good on you for the clothes shopping! That's on my list, it's getting desperate. I just do not enjoy it anymore.

Putting myself to sleep very early to get the day over with. Night doodles!

Have you talked with your doctor about the depression? If not, I urge you to do so Sadie. It's tough enough getting sober; you shouldn't have to deal with deep depression. Maybe your doctor can help.

Dee has mentioned 30, 60, 90ish days are hard before. I think most in this class are around 60 to 100! Well day 3 sucks so if anyone is tempted give me a shout and I will remind you. Trying to kick this depression and will check in with doc, can't get out of bed today. Oh, and my nose got fat last binge. Gross.
Yea my day 3 was bad I was pretty low and sick... thanks for the reminder. I remember that I did have hope that drove my will to stop drinking however, I think you do as well!

TRUTH. And simply why drinking was NO LONGER an option for me.
Checking in on day 76. Hope everyone has had a great weekend. March on! Sadie you can do it!!! I had such a hard week that all I have done is rest and sleep and eat good food this weekend (healthy food). Burnt out was not even the word for me by Friday. Feeling somewhat recharged and still have Sunday!
Be good to yourselves,
Lee

I just realised, it's my Day 90 tomorrow! 3 whole months. I really can't be bothered to go clothes shopping today but I'm gonna do it. I'm committed.

Well done for taking care of yourself this weekend jobei.

Hope you slept well Sadie.

Are you on the waiting list for the specialist consultant now ICDB?

PHRD - Nothing beats the feeling of a new wardrobe. I'm classing things up a bit so I'm looking gorgeous and sophisticated for when I start having a life.

Thank you everyone for the encouragement. I am going to check in with doc.

I had a work event on the beach this morning and enjoyed looking at the ocean. First time I felt something other than sad or numb in awhile. Sometimes I feel wah wah here I am a mess when others are worse off, you know ? In fear for their lives or can't feed their children. Almost guilty for that.

I do think cutting off news and the media right thing to do for me.

It's wonderful to read about milestones! OT, go shop, you deserve it! Job, when is move? T2R, you are wise.

Love you all

Yeah me too OT! New wardrobe for new, exciting life! Congrats on 90 days! Sadie I need to cut off the news now too. Its really frustrating me. I think goals are keeping me happy. Day to day can always be boring but little short term things to look forward to (like a pedicure and maybe massage) and long term goals (making it to warmer places) keep me going . Hello Badger! Lee! Job! Ican!

Hey everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Great job on 90 OT! I'm coming up right behind you!!

All moved in. Some minor triggers here as it's a big move... back to my hometown after 20 years... boy did I do a lot of drinking here. Tonight my answer is junk food... after a very busy week! Beats a bottle of whiskey that's for certain!

Have a great start to your week, everyone!

3 months of sobriety today! I've got a big few days coming up - work induction and college open evening, college interview, then my first full day of work. Today I'm finishing up a few bits of paperwork and I've won some VIP gig tickets for tomorrow so that'll be great. A little nervous but excited.

You have a great week too Dee!

Congrats on 11 weeks Lee.

You'll settle down soon enough jobei, hopefully it'll be an improvement on being in that house with lots of booze!

PHRD - I bought some really nice blouses and some thin blazers, it was all really cheap and I couldn't resist. Makes it look like I've got a brilliant figure as well.
Setting small goals for yourself is great. You can see that you're achieving things through not drinking and it definitely keeps you from being bored! My life looks completely different than it did three months ago because of those day to day goals.

Sadie - Focus on yourself. Keep that news and media turned off if it's making you feel down. I'm glad you enjoyed that work event.

ICDB - Keep us updated, you'll be in my thoughts.
