Class of October 2014 Part 24
V, that sounds like a great plan. I saw so much need while I helped my dad, and then, my aunt. I think, I may end working in senior care in some way, or at least, volunteering. I may try my profession, first, if I can physically do it with my back issues. But, giving it at least until both kids are on the same school schedule, next year.
That's really wonderful of you to do, V. I work in criminal justice and unfortunately see some pretty bad situations with our homeless population. It's very sad, especially when there are drugs/alcohol involved because obviously I feel a connection there. You are brave and kind to work with those who are most desperate.
Venus, I've thought for a long time that aged care sounds like a perfect for you. It's not for everyone for sure. Any one under your care would be lucky to experience your empathy and compassion. You are such a kind soul V.
In orthopedics, I have people on a table, but they get on it by themselves, or I yell them what to do for exercises and such.

A nice start to hump day here with a proper workout and even better a proper attitude of gratitude that will carry the day.
I like to see that your plan has come together V. It's empowering to have clarity of focus imo. What type classes/certification are you going for?
Wishing each of you the best day.

Oh yes, paper birch, white birch, Betula papyrifera...whichever way you want to call it. Such a majestic tree. Have you ever been in a stand of predominantly white birch? It's fantastic. Not too many stands around here, but plenty up in New Hampshire where I attended school.
Edit: Don't be annoying like Briar and me changing up your avi all the time. It's quite confusing!

Yeah, I just get used to one avi and here y'all go again! But folks my age have trouble with change
The only time I've been in a stand of those trees was in fact New Hampshire. There were ferns covering the ground all under the trees. I was fantastic and serene.

Reach for the sky . . .
I like the changing avatars. Just don't change your username (again).
phoebe ~ in nursing homes, the residents often don't go to a treatment room. The physio visits them in their rooms, does some gentle massage, often in a chair, and plans exercise routines to build up strength etc. There is absolutely NO lifting either required or allowed by the physio. If help is required, trained carers from the facility usually help out.
Arbor ~ I need you....well, you're in my head, so that's helping.
You know how you always say I find the silver lining? Well, I woke up to a large huntsman in my kitchen, up high on the wall, and V hasn't seen it (thank God) or she'd be meowing up a storm.
I would never kill it, but I am a tiny bit uncomfortable with this big spider in my kitchen. If I try to gently coax it with a duster it might drop. I wouldn't like that much.
Spidey won't hurt me. I asked it to leave. It's not in my bedroom, so that's good. And it has lovely stripes.
Conquest huny....hello darling girl.
And love and good morning all. ♥
