Oh yeah those are nice pics V. Around here you don't see those things on top of chimneys.

Happy Monday y'all.

Beautiful, Venus! I hope you're feeling much better soon.

Spent the weekend scraping the last crumbs out of the old apartment. It took much longer than I thought, but it's finished. Phew! I've got my final surgery this Thursday... Planning on sleeping for a couple of days and kind of looking forward to being "off the grid" for a moment. All I need is a stockpile of jello and the remote control.

But first, coffee and today's agenda. Looks like work and ... Drumroll please.....unpacking boxes this evening! Lol
Our group certainly does rock!

Morning Conquest! Morning team.

Vee, those sky pics look great right about now. Looks warm there which it isn't here.

Boy isn't mobile yet, Mark. He sits up real good and wants to go. Sees his big brother and wants to play with him. Wife is dreading the mobile stage. It's flat out exhausting. I know one day we won't be so tired and drained from these kids. One day we will be able to sleep again.

Have a great Monday!

So sorry about your pain, V! I had horrible issues for a few years with cysts. I finally had a surgery scheduled and they seemed to slow down and have not had one for months, finally. Hopefully, your issues will go away, but good to check in with the gyn. And car trouble just sucks.

Feel fine today, thanks guys. It was just too much of the wrong food, nothing serious. Back to better eating on a Monday! Had a nice long walk with the dog, even went on a walking trail behind our homes, in some woods. The trees offered shelter from the wind. It was actually lovely in there.

Also did a short volunteer gig this am at school, and got a few groceries. Going to make some soup with leftover ham, lentils and some greens.

It's true Arbor, y'all are for sure in a chapter where there's not much time to think about going to places far and away. You're more in survival mode! Now that I've moved on to a couple chapters down the line from you I've got to say that it is odd to spend time thinking about things I want to do and actually making it happen. It's a struggle not to feel selfish......but I'm getting over it . You're time will come and I predict lots of guy time in the mountains for you and your sons, and your wife too if she likes that kind of thing. Our youngest was six the first time we went to Hawaii and she still talks about it. So hang in there my friend.

Phoebe, it seems as though you're mostly enjoying Huxley. Is he most bonded to you?

Conquest, even though you're in a great place now in your life, I can see how walking out the door to your last home would bring lots of different feelings.

Hi to the rest of my Octsober peeps.

He is a cute dog. Still a puppy, really, but very big! He is 10 months, roughly. He is very bonded to all of us, but mostly to our daughter, and I guess, me. But, husband walks him quite a bit, and pats him more than I ever imagined. My son likes him, but also gets annoyed with him. He is still into surfing the counters, trying to steal food or napkins, and detritus that the kids had grown accustomed to leaving around.

His training is not going great, in the formal class. he is too distracted yet by other dogs. It is way too exciting for him, and he's like a kid with severe ADHD! But he is making progress in the house.

Oof! Sorry it is so big! That is him smiling as he played with dd a few days ago.

Oh that's a great pic phoebe. Such a rascal he must be in his youth! You can almost feel his bright eyed energy by looking at him. (I had to look up detritus, it's not a word I throw around )

I would think his training will be more productive as he continues to mature a bit.

You should get over feeling selfish Mark. You've darn right earned that. Raising kids is probably the least selfish thing you could possibly do with your life. That's is, if you wanna do it right. Boy, do I see that now. Such a sacrifice in itself that brings life's greatest rewards.

That's a good lookin dog Phoebe!

Parenthood definitely requires tremendous sacrifice - freedom, sleep, dignity. Those kiddos had better be grateful one day for all we do. I've had days since becoming a parent where I have called my mom to apologize, no joke, for the torture I put her through. She just laughs.

Thanks guys, I wish I could say I had anything to do with how cute that puppy is! He's 100% mystery mutt! I do think he looks like Tramp.

Planning a sleepover bday party for son. Only 4 of the 6 he invited can make it, THANK GOODNESS! lol. Just ordered a few fun party favors: fake mustaches and ugly teeth. Pre-teen boys ought to have fun taking selfies with those?

They say we will get snow late this afternoon. Going to go get the dog tired while it is 34 and not snowing!

Hope everyone is well. I am struggling with low energy, likely seasonal doldrums. But, the dog does get me outside much more than usual for this time of year.

You're right phoebe, Hux looks like Tramp to me too. Not much time for lunch today, but makes the workday fly by.
