Class of October 2014 Part 24
Hi guys, breakfast for dinner: banana walnut cinnamon pancakes, maple chicken apple sausage, and tangerines from my mom's tree.
Mom gave me another bag of walnuts, so I spent a couple hours shelling and came out with another 6 cups or so. Into the freezer they go!
Also made some heavy hand cream because my skin has been very dry. I melted down some of that chocolate body butter I made a couple months ago (I have a bunch in the fridge), added some beeswax and honey and lavender oil, stirred like a maniac to keep the honey in suspension as it cooled, and came out with some great stuff. My hands are so much happier now. I made some lip balm from that body butter the other day, which is good, and I'm thinking of making a lotion bar tomorrow too because why not? That butter mix is the perfect base for all kinds of good stuff.
So it was a productive day in the kitchen. I hope all is well for you guys.

And a funny thing...my husband had a rough week at work and is contemplating some major career changes. It's a tough time for him, and I want to be supportive, but our communication can be a little awkward. Solution? Write it on a cake:
Message delivered. Marriage reinforced. Husband happy. This is how Briar gets it done.

Is it good? Don't tell me.
It is 59 degrees. I am in heaven. Still really tired though. Pretty sure I had heat exhaustion by the end of that. I was very dizzy and in a lot of muscle pain. All good now. Until next time.
Hi phoebe love, and good morning all.
