Good to see you JL!

Morning packmates/littermates/fellow abductees!

Slept great, went to sleep pretty tired between the two split workouts and a busy day in between. Today should be another busy one, off to get my run in while i can. Kinda chilly at the moment here too!

Oh yeah, SR Meeting at 6pm Pacific / 9 Easter tonight in the chat room tonight!! Hope to see you there!

Have a great day friends!

Yay! Happy to see JL and starsnskies!

Two weeks today. Woot!

I'm doing a guest DJ spot tonight on a friend's radio show and I'm super nervous about it. Would have reached for courage in bottle form fifteen days ago so saying it out loud instead and just doing the next thing in front of me. I'm sure it will be fun. Hitting a meeting and my aftercare from my last rehab (last year) beforehand. That should help.

Busy day today. Will check in to read.

Love.

Dax

Tonk's, thanks for the SR meeting reminder. I do not know if I will be there tonight. We have a gathering this evening at the local Moose Lodge - how long does the chat meeting normally last? Maybe I can join late.

Good morning!

It is good to see Della, JL, stars, and everyone who checked in last night. I hope OmoRose is doing okay.

Dax- good luck DJing tonight! Sounds like fun!
Tonks- enjoy your run! Sounds awesome even if it is cold! Thanks for the meeting reminder.

FABL- I hope your feeling better today. I agree with others that you should see a therapist or a Dr. if you need too. Make sure to reach out if you need too.

The meetings are scheduled for an hour

And the run was great Midwest, thanks! It was actually raining really hard and then the sun came out at the end, very pretty.

Good morning y'all!

Everyone's busy this morning, I'm the straggler today I guess!

Hey JL and stars! Thanks for checking in...we were wondering where y'all were!

Dax...tell us about the show! Is it talk or? Just try and remember us, the little people, when you're famous! . And my heart is torn (thanks for asking). I've decided to just sit with this for a while and see what happens...by that I mean we will still live apart but no other big decisions right now.

B...the Friday night meeting only lasts an hour. You can come and go as you want. If you're on an iPad you might have to go into chat and have someone drag you into the meeting room....at least that's what I have to do. Thanks for the reminder from our official class announcer!!

It's going to be an awesome day y'all! We are sober and in our right minds (well...that may be pushing it ). Ha!!

Love and hugs!
xoxo

Hey folks checking in to say hey. Been busy running around and trying not to spend too much time online. Been lurking though.
No AA for me but like cast down in think about heading to a meeting for some sober companionship. Meet some good people. I don't want to have to go through the steps and develop as a person though. I just want to be a stubborn non drinker.
Good to see dee. Glad you're better. I just assumed we graduated and we were left alone. Glad that's not the case because dee is so impressive with great concise thoughts aand advice..
Fabl, sorry you are so down. I've been depressed a bit too. Takes so much energy to keep from going down the drain and swim back to the surface. Love yourself. You deserve it.
Omo, we could use some wicked poetry right about now.
Looking forward to some Seahawks tomorrow.
Really foggy here. Sober and surrounded by good people on SR.
Have a good radio show Dax. I used to DJ in college. Go and have fun.

Hope everyone is doing well/feeling better. It is freezing here!!

Ha bigshoe! AA is full of stubborn non-drinkers I'm sure!! As for personal development???....we all know that's overrated baloney!! (Please note obvious sarcasm...don't start a riot over that statement please ). You always put a smile on my face, bigshoe! (I was going to just use your initials...BS...but decided against for obvious reasons).

Hi della!!

Tonks...is that your puppy??

Thanks for caring about the details, brynn!
It's a community radio show that my friend has been doing for a couple years. She's hip and cool and such. I did a playlist for it and then will do some bits as well (I do stand-up). Haven't done a gig sober. Pins and needles. Here's the playlist:

Ben Sollee - It's Not Impossible (3:19)
The National - Fake Empire (3:25)
The Black Keys - Sinister Kid (3:44)
Loretta Lynn - Have Mercy (2:19)
Chris Bathgate - Eliza (hue) (4:51)
The Highwaymen - Highwayman (3:03)
B!each H!ouse - Myth (4:19)
Joshua James - Coal War (5:13)
The Oh Hello's - Lay Me Down (3:03)
Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards (3:13)
Pulp - Common People (5:52)
Tracy Chapman - Fast Car (4:57)
Frank Ocean - Super Rich Kids (5:05)
Donovan - Sunshine Superman (3:15)
Cold War Kids - Miracle Mile (3:00)

Probably more than you wanted to know.

Glad you are taking the decision regarding your s/o slow. There is great wisdom there. The answers will come.

Hey Dax! That sounds like a pretty fun gig you have lined up. Any chance it'll be streamed online? Only if you'd like to share of course, completely understandable if you're hesitant.

I hope it goes well but above all else, I hope you have fun!

Hey everyone. I had a close call yesterday. I had almost made up my mind to give in. Luckily over the last few months of trying to quit I've acquired a few tools. I used them and went to bed sober last night and woke this morning with a desire to put more work into keeping my sobriety.
Hope to hear from rose soon.
♡ to all.
We CAN do this and the voice in your head saying that you can't is a LIAR.

Really proud of you Erin! I appreciate your check-in, honesty and pushing forward.

Any idea what was going on for you that it got dicey?

Anger and boredom are triggers for me. Ive got to find solutions rather than trying to escape. I keep thinking about what alcohol used to do for me and forget what it was like towards the end. It made me suicidal. My sponsor says I have a short term memory problem. Heh. I get hung up on how it isn't "fair." I have a long way to go but I'm getting there.
