. Hi SR Friends,
I'm checking in for the next 24 hours of my recovery, thanks to my HP & AA. I may be physically feeling achy and coughing...but...I am feeling such joy at being here and in recovery. Tomorrow evening starts the annual 185 Marathon in Altadena, starts at 6:00pm and goes on all weekend. Damn fantastic!!

Checking in tonight with another 24 hours down. 40 days today!! Signing up for another 24 hours at 9:56p.

Wanted to congratulate Clementina & SarahB60 on 30 days. It's a major accomplishment! Great job!

I also wanted to congratulate Coldfusion on reaching your new milestone! That is awesome!

Also, congrats to Goose on 100 days. That is awesome to reach triple digits!!

Growpath-I hope you are feeling better soon!! *hugs*

Heartsonfire-my favorite blizzard has coffee flavoring and chocolate cookie chip dough in it. We have concretes out here, which are the same thing, but with custard. My favorite concrete is the "hello kitty" concrete with kit kat bars, caramel, and pink sprinkles.

The 185 is a Meeting Name. For over 20 years they've had a NYE Weekend Marathon. Other groups, some even from Las Vegas, get assigned a time slot. During that time members of that group share their ES& H. There is also food for sale.....fried chicken or fried fish, tacos, enchiladas, sodas, desserts, etc etc. Just a really great way to get together on the holiday. Many people struggle, as we know, this is an opportunity to fellowship and not be alone.

I mention this because Pasadena is a huge city. And with the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl in town ....well, just want folks to know we're here. Drop by!
