24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 32
It's New Year's Eve! So, of course, today we celebrate....
VINEGAR!!
Some facts about vinegar:
*Vinegar has been used for 10,000 years. It just might be the world’s oldest ingredient.
*The main uses for white distilled vinegar are cooking/food preparation and cleaning/disinfecting.
*The International Vinegar Museum is in Roslyn, South Dakota.
*Consumers in the South buy and use more white distilled vinegar than in any other region of the country.
*Adding vinegar to baking soda produces a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide. This combination is often used to make a do-it-yourself erupting volcano.
Well, I just love that if you put yesterday's food of the day and today's food of the day together you get a do it yourself volcano. That is seriously priceless information. If anyone has been to the Vinegar Museum, you MUST give us a low-down. I know it's going on my bucket list.
Have a GREAT NEW YEAR, my friends. Going into 2015 in a way I never dreamed... Almost 6 months sober. Just wow. And it's all thanks to the support and camaraderie that I feel from this site, and especially this thread. If I met you all tomorrow, I'd hug every one of you.
Lisa.

Thanks, as always, Lisa!
My new fave store is called Oil & Vinegar. They have TONS of different flavors of both items. My newest, yummiest find is cherry-almond balsamic vinegar. I put it on my fruit. It's delicious. Think I'll cut up some apples, sprinkle them w/cinnamon-sugar, drizzle w/a bit of honey & then douse them with the cherry almond vinegar. Lots of flavors going on at once but it's wonderful.
Thanks, as always, Lisa!

So....my Hall's cough drops come with inspirational quotes on the wrapper.
Mine just said, "you've survived tougher"
I had to giggle to myself and share with you guys cause you're some of the only people in my life that would get my thoughts that came after reading that
