Class of October 2014 Part 7
It's just crazy here....no real hot weather all December and then boom, the hottest two days you could ever imagine. All that matters is that V is OK.
And that it won't be like this when I am not here for a day or two...that would be impossible. I could never leave her in a tiny flat with no air con if I wasn't home. Sigh.
One day I will live in a better place.
Whinge whinge...grateful to be sober and looking out for my fluff. ♥

Oh look, here she is now demanding that I assemble myself into an uncomfortable position so she can enjoy sitting on me. Oh wait, nope, she changed her mind and decided to sit right in front of the monitor. Fantastic.
Haha! Such truth in those words.
My last vacation opportunity to sleep in and I'm up at 5:00 a.m. Tisk tisk
Chili may need to be on the menu today! Since I'm Texas born and raised, I hear the beans/no beans debate all the time. Here's my verdict... It's excellent either way! And I prefer turkey chili, but my grandfather would roll his eyes at that. Lol
Great. Now I'm craving cornbread...
Luv y'all! Be well today.

Good morning gang.
Yet another rainy day ahead so I may have to try cooking again...chili perhaps, or maybe bread. But I don't know what kind of pans we have for bread makin'. Well, time to start the Saturday morning routine. Put food in bird feeders, have some coffee while I watch them eat, curse the squirrels for chasing them away, go for a long workout and buy doughnut holes on the way home for my daughter. I used to pick up a six pack on the way home too! Good lord when I look back at myself... I did some stupid s***!
Let's make it a nice first weekend of the year gang.

I'm delighted that I've started a chili craze on here!
My Saturday is off to a good start. I woke up with my daughter snuggled in bed with us. The little stinker sneaks in during the night and wedges herself between us. My husband complains that it's a bad habit, and I guess it is, but I just love it.
She always tells me this weird little story (I have no idea where she got it) about a guy who is picking oranges and falls down, and then there are monsters. So this morning I made a little book out of construction paper, and we illustrated the story. So now she has a book of her story with pictures. Not to brag, but I drew some mighty fine monsters, including a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater:
She's pretty stoked.
Plans for today include nagging my husband to take down the Christmas lights and shopping for some loose-leaf tea. We might also be having a couple friends over for dinner, which would be nice. The wife is health conscious and rarely drinks, so that's good for me. If that's the case, then I'll need to figure out what to cook.
I hope everyone has a good day!

Morning guys ♥
Very very impressive Briar!!! Do your talents have no end?
I wrote a children's story years ago: A Man Called Glug, about a kid who is bored on his summer holidays and decides to start digging in the yard. He finds a caveman who has survived for all of these years sealed up in his limestone cave. They become friends. There is more...about pollution, and what we have done to our world, and treating each other well...
Anyway....sorry you missed out on your last sleep in Conquest...does that mean you work on Sundays? And I'm thinking it's time to re-start our song of the day...so I will leave that in your capable hands.
How lovely from.
What a beautiful way to start the day...coffee and birds and squirrels. And I really need to look up donut holes....really no idea what they are. All I can imagine is tiny donuts.
(((Stewy))) ♥ Sorry that today is a rough one....I hear you on the anxiety. I have a lot of trouble with that. I know that anti depressants can often take a few weeks to work. Perhaps you will feel better in a few days? If it was me, I would call my doctor on Monday and have a chat about this. The dose may need to be altered, or perhaps they will change your prescription.
Thank God it is cool today. That was like purgatory yesterday.
Love to all the Octsobers,
V xx

Good Sunday morning V, I'm glad it has cooled a bit for you. August is my least favorite month here because it's so hot and humid. You'll have the pleasure of my complaining about it when the time comes! Cool writing/imaginative skills shown my you and Briar. I never knew purple people eaters had green spiral horns, but seeing it makes it so appropriate.
Stewy , glad to see you checking in hope the new week brings improvement.
It's pouring rain...again...and storming. I'm hoping my son's flight back from NYC won't be delayed.
Oh, I had a dream that all you guys came over for grilling/pool party. There was lots of laughing and fun...all sober, but we didn't really even talk about alcohol.
Ok, time for some hot tea and sit on patio and listen to the rain and thunder.
