Lilsmum-When thinking about it, I think I did go through an angry phase. I got angry about certain things, usually stupid things, but they were enough to make me want to drink.
Forabetterlife-Not strange at all. I have no desire to drink around work colleagues as well. I was also more apt to pick something up.
Not sure if any of you are into seltzer water, but the Target out here had new LaCroix flavors (only an 8 pack though). I picked up an apricot 8 pack and a mango 8 pack. I thought I saw an apple berry as well, as well as a few other flavors. Pacing myself on the seltzer waters.

Hi December Gang - I joined SR last December.....was in the December class last year & also the April Class, which I will continue in, but as I am starting over "yet" again, I would like to jump in here with you all. My last drink was about 24 hrs ago.......I have a lot of sober time over this last year & know with all my heart that it is the life I want to live. Alcohol is not my friend, cares nothing for me & is no longer welcome in my life!!!

Congrats to everyone who made it another day without a drink! I swear, you guys don't realize how much you inspire me & keep me going. Kudos to all of you & thank you for being my saving grace.

I feel the same way JT! When I'm feeling weak or my mind starts drifting to thoughts of drinking, I read a few posts and my perspective changes. It helps so much to know that we are not alone in this and there are tons of "normal" people out there just like me who are struggling with this and we can lean on each other for support.

I feel strong now on day 3 but I know this weekend won't be as easy. Decorating the tree without a sloppy wine buzz? That's what I will be doing, present and sober with my kids.

Life isn't perfect - sober, drunk, or hungover. But it's wayyyy better sober!

Day 6. As long as I keep doing the next right thing, I'll continue to progress in sobriety. One of my "right things" is coming here and reading posts throughout the day. Thank you all!

I could be completely wrong on these aspects, but I see you justifying your drinking in your thread and it doesn't seem like it was that big of a deal for you to slip up. I am worried about you Jsbodhi, but I am glad you are back here posting.

JT and forabetterlife, I couldn't agree more. You are all an incredible inspiration for me! I get so much out of reading posts from all the folks in here. I'm especially thankful for those of you who are back after getting some sobriety, and are sharing your experiences. New folks too though. I'm right there with you all, and I know that we can do this!

The weekend will be tough for me and I am going to take it one day at a time. Today I'm going to go the gym, shoot some hoops, drink a lot of water, read SR, read a book and watch some TV. Boring? No! Sobriety is never boring.
