Happy National Pumpkin Pie Day!! In this season of all things pumpkin (I saw pumpkin spice sweet potato chips on the grocery shelf today) the pumpkin pie reigns supreme.
Here for 24 more sober hours, perhaps with a slice of pie.
12:18 AM, chilly New England.

Well it turns out that today was the "birthday celebration" of the Opry here in Nashville, so I arrived well too late to get a ticket to the show. But that's ok! There was a great band playing out in front of the theater and I quite enjoyed listening to them.
Spent the rest of the day eating great food and browsing the expensive guitar shops. I found one I really liked but I can find a guitar I really like for less than $5k, so I left it there

Hubby comes home tomorrow after being on tour for 66 days. He's coming home to a brand new wife. I can't wait to start our new & improved life together! It will be an adjustment for sure as he hasn't known me sober in ages, but that's ok because it's so much better than the alternative. He's so proud & supportive of me. I'm so blessed to have so much support from my family & the few friends I've shared this with.
Support, hope, strength & love to every single person here whether you've been posting for years or your simply an anonymous visitor petrified of posting....whether you've been sober for years or sober for minutes. I'm thankful that each of you are on this journey with me.
7:12 a.m. in Dallas.
This post made me teary. How exciting to have your hubby home to "a brand new wife". I'm struggling to find the words for how this post has made me feel.
Blessings to you both and enjoy the next phase of your journey together.
Much love
I'm into my 26th day sober and loving the changes.
Feeling good about life and the future and deeply grateful for my SR friends - you inspire me daily.
7.18am on a foggy UK morning and committing to another 24 hours sober.

After my first AA meeting, I told my wife that those people are just like me and I kept coming back one day at a time and never took another drink of alcohol. That's the miracle of it, hanging around with people like I meet here every day.
Congrats celebrants, and I'll have another 24 in Maryland today.
