24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 19
Viking - you are doing a great job! I know how hard it is to keep up.
Goat - have a great time at the Opry! I love Nashville.
Hearts- have a great reunion with your hubby! It's so impressive that you stopped drinking while he was on the road.
My son had a soccer game today and he played goalie for the first time and played the entire game. It was hard for this mom to watch him because there is so much pressure on the goalie. But, he did great - they ended up tying with the other team but he had some impressive saves. I was so proud of him.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Bub - We know how hard you've worked - proud of you!
CSM - Nice that your son did well - I'm sure you cringed a few times.
I'll be needing another 24 - please send it to New York at 6:33pm.

Pumpkins. Squash. Gourds. The words sound warm and opulent. Biminiblue loves them and that’s good enough for me! They make me think of pie spices: cloves, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and mace. These wonderful spices can take us on a trip through ancient history and all around the world with the spice trade, to Sri Lanka and Burma and Indonesia -- but probably they're on your own kitchen shelf.
I hope you get a chance this season to enjoy some squash -- try it with some of those homey, once so exotic, spices. This was how my mother baked acorn squash -- with lots of brown sugar and butter, too!
If you're chilly tonight, put some cinnamon in your tea and think about the Spice Islands. Stay sober, and I'll see you tomorrow!
