Well, today I am really learning to accept what I cannot change, for it is, NATIONAL CHOCOLATE COVERED INSECT DAY. And yuck.

I ate a chocolate covered ant in 2nd grade. Somebody brought in an assortment of 4 different kinds: all I remember are ants and caterpillars! I remember thinking, "Squishy caterpillars--No, I just can't go that far!"

It's 6:27 here and I need 24 more hours of sobriety. I'd like to congratulate the milestoners and, everyone else on another day of sobriety.
I went for a long walk yesterday and, muck like Toots said in her her posting, I'm finding out that I might just like myself. Starting to look at life as a worthwhile journey.

Wi-Fi router has been out of service so I wasn't able to log-in over the weekend.
A friend died over the weekend while awaiting a liver and kidney for transplantation. He had diabetes and NASH ( a non-alcoholic liver hepatitis disease with much the same symptoms and progression as alcoholic liver disease); the end was traumatic; let's take care of our livers, friends.
Sorry for the downbeat post.

I fell off last week and blacked out from Monday night into Thursday morning.
Was going 66 days strong until a couple Saturdays ago and just couldn't contain my lust for drink.
Sober since the 8th and here to say hi.
