Great to hear from you Carter and Christina! (And "Rock On" Pink!).

I wish all the best with their emotions and love the strength of tone in your posts- you are going to come through this!

Knb - You are doing so great. I am sorry to hear you are struggling.

Can you get out for a walk? I liked your idea of making curry and just chilling watching a movie. Do WHATEVER you need to do to take care of yourself.

You can do this. You can stay sober. These thoughts are just your AV trying to take advantage of your emotions. Knock that AV out.

We are here for you. You showed your strength by posting here.

Hugs and love.

PM sent.

Knb - I would bet a million the ex isn't worth losing your sobriety over. You got this. Just give yourself a Ben and Jerry's moment to think it through.

Knb- you've overcome these urges in past. Call on that experience and power.

You Can. And we're here. Lets do this together. How can we help?

Play the tape to the end kn, especially tomorrow morning. You will be so mad at yourself. And you know how hard it is to bounce back after a slip. Well, if you don't, trust me, it is! After making 60 days 2 years ago and blowing it with 2 seasonal beers I thought I deserved, I have been back and forth ever since. Not worth the few minutes of relief, you know that. You can get through this !

Knb-just don't drink. You have been feeling amazing, and calm, you are running, eating healthy when you want to, and you have the life you always dreamed of. The ONE thing you did to make that happen was to stop drinking. To paraphrase Dee-don't confuse control with abstinence. Keep going!

Stay strong KNB! Do whatever it takes, but don't drink. Summon your inner Mr T.

YOU CAN DO THIS

Stay strong Knb. Just for today don't drink and get your head on that pillow sober. Tomorrow is a brand new sober day. Baby steps remember?

I just lost a post too. We must both have the typing gremlins.

Won't write it all again, just a quick check in!

Went to an AA in West End tonight. Was good but walking past all the old pubs I used to go in was tough. Made it home safe and happy.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I used to lose posts when I would start typing on a previous page and then continue to the next page of the thread to read. So I've started selecting all, copying all, before changing thread pages. It's an annoying thing to lose a post, especially if you've spent some time addressing people or doing a long-winded vent. Lol.

Have you tried the L-Glutamine trick? I think it has been mentioned here before...

1,000 mg L-Glut capsules- in an emergency, open them up, put the powder under your tongue and relax. Take as many as needed. I will often take up to 3 or 4 at a time. You cannot OD on L-Glut, and it will make the craving pass in a hurry.

Oh people thank you for your support. It's been a serious struggle tonight. The AV is simmering down but I feel jaded. I was that close to getting in the car and buying a bottle of wine...

One is never safe! I woke up feeling crap this morning. I was tired and demotivated and I knew I was feeling extra sensitive.

But The AV was conquered by SR, an AA phone phone call, Rain in my Heart dicumentary( thank you apple for that tip), heaps of food and lots of pacing around.

Fast forward to next morning and yes I would have totally regretted it. Gosh it's hard. Life is hard. Dealing with your emotions is hard!!!

Glandon I will look for this glut amine tomorrow.
